Dark brown/red color. Dates and caramel aroma. Similar taste. Mostly malt on this, little-to-no hops noticable at all. Smooth taste and mouthfeel. Good dark malty beer.

very very dark color, pilsner-style foam with beige color, toasty and hoppy smell, medium carbonated, dry and flat body with a sour hint, strong aftertaste with a ton of hoppyness and various toasty malt flavors, distinct and balanced bitterness from both roasted malts and hops. This beer is far better than some other attempts to make a dark pilsner from a light beer with added roasted malt-beer.

ganache (6087) - New Jersey, USA - MAR 22, 2006
Bottled. Mine’s the German version, only 5.0% but with the blonde model on the label. Black pour with a bit of dark ruby shining through under light. Light brown head. Coffee aroma with a little subdued roast sweetness. Burnt toast taste with some sweetness. Long lasting aftertaste, very pleasant. A little one dimensional, but solid.

Bottled. Dark brown. Slightly smoked aroma. Rounded flavour of roasted malt and hops giving a fine balance. Oak-like palate.

Mahogany colour, rich head. Coffee and cream aroma. Sweet and malty, low bitterness. A plain but tasty dark lager.

BOTTLE 50CL from Cuso. Thanks, Imro. Look: almost black with red highlights and a medium beige frothy head. Aroma: dark malts, light roast, licorice, some caramel, chocolate, toast. Taste: quite rich, coffee, roasted malts, light sweetness balanced by hop bitterness, ashy finish. [backlog 20140214]
