It is warm golden with a white head. The aroma has notes of straw, malt, grain and flower. The flavour has a light sweetness, notes of malt, flower, light straw and it has a slightly dry and light bitterness in the finish. larsga (7540) - Oslo, NORWAY - NOV 27, 2008
Medium white head. Yellow body. Earthy straw and caramel aroma, harmonic and powerful. Dry earthy grassy caramel taste with straw notes. Clean and fresh. Mouthfeel somewhat harsh. Dry grassy aftertaste, very mild. Nice, and very dry. (0.5l swingtop bottle, Rewe, Dresden.) kappldav123 (6100) - GERMANY - DEC 19, 2007
The bottle looks a little bit like GDR. The beers smells terrible, like soap. Tastes nearly the same - much too chemical. Not a good beer. motelpogo (7704) - Plzen, CZECH REPUBLIC - SEP 18, 2007
bottled. aroma of peanut skin and port jelly. golden, finely bubbled head, reasonably bitter but not much else happening bierkoning (13352) - La Tropica/Doarp, NETHERLANDS - JUL 31, 2006

Swing-top. Rich clear golden pour with a foamy white head. Malty aroma with a little apple juice. Bitter with only a slight sweetness, malty but somewhat watery. Brief cellar component. Dry end. A little unusual, but ultimately forgettable. pivnizub (10619) - Bochum, Porúří, GERMANY - NOV 16, 2005
Swing-top bottle: Hazy, golden coloured, thin foamy head; some hoppiness behind the grainy/cardboardy nose; moderate bitter flavour; long, grainy and bitter finish; quite spicy and not bad at all............. Papsoe (25063) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 7, 2005
(Bottle 50 cl) Somewhat pale with a very tall, dense head. Slightly flat and watery with a very unusual lightly tart finish. Actually this is more tart than bitter which I find very unusual, especially in Germany. Hazes as you reach the bottom. 250101 MoritzF (9901) - Ottobrunn, GERMANY - SEP 2, 2005
(swing top bottle) Pale golden colour with a foamy white medium head. Slight floral hoppy aroma with malts and honey. Toasted malts in the beginning, although a little bit rough; medium bodied with an almost creamy texture and a spicy and hoppy aftertaste. Not bad. dortmunder (961) - Herdecke, GERMANY - FEB 2, 2005
Bottled. Fairly standard pilsner. Slightly floral hoppy notes in the aroma. A bit lacking in carbonation. Therefore a bit below average in my book.
