Good head, excellent colour. And thats about it. Very average porter, not spicy notes to be found, as it claims. A well made but pretentious Mexican artisanal beer.
Bottle, 355ml. Opaque dark brown, with a creamy to minimal beige head. Intense spicy aroma, which the brewer likes to think is incredibly complex ("contains in it’s recipe an original mixture of 5 aromatic spices and piloncillo, which makes it different"), but it just seems like a clumsy mash of spices to me. Earthy alcohol character with agave hints. These Toro ales have this nasty distilled feel to them I don’t like. Undrinkable. Percy0103 (766) - MEXICO - JUL 31, 2014
Bottle, 355ml. A dark beer with a reddish hue at the bottom and a small head that fades away almost completely after a minute. The best I can say about the aroma is that it is disgusting. Taste is even worse. Now I´m running to the sink to pour down this beer. dalfaro86 (309) - Mexico City, MEXICO - JAN 17, 2013
Pour a cloudy dark brown brew with a tiny head with no retention, aroma has notes of spices, caramel and roasted malt, medium bodied, the flavor has notes of spices, chocolate, caramel and roasted malt; it lacks balance and presents some unpleasant falvors.
