Bottled. Small sample. Old note. The aroma has spicey yeast, not much hop. Bit hazy, yellow coloured beer with a white head. The taste is light bitter and dry. Again homeopathic hop use. Tripel homeopathic hop use is still nothing. Alengrin (5635) - BELGIUM - OCT 24, 2014
The second Tournée Générale beer, for the second series of this television show, in 2011. Connects with the new ’tripel hop’ trend in Belgian beer culture and uses three different hops for main, late and dry hopping. Sticky, irregular, off-white head, deep peach blonde colour, hazy. Aroma of apricot, bread, banana, orange peel, grass, ’speculoos’, cloves, vanilla. Apple and orange dominate the onset, refreshing, somewhat oily mouthfeel, honeyish sweetness accompanying the whole palate from onset to finish, mellow bready background, subtle grassy and citrussy hop bitterness in the finish but kind of restrained (not turning IPA-like, contrary to my expectations), some solvents. Nothing too great, but to me this is surely the best of the three editions so far. mmahut (1859) - CZECH REPUBLIC - AUG 18, 2014
Bottle Dark amber body with low head. Aroma has light sour character with very typical belgo-yeast background, spicy coriander, light caramel. Taste has medium malty sweetness with soft bitter finish. Body is flat, low carbonation. mikske79 (1727) - Puerto Plata, DOMINICAN REPUBLIC - AUG 16, 2014
Tripel Hop-bieren kunnen lekker zijn, maar deze vond ik niet zo speciaal. Dan zijn er veel betere SVD (2071) - NETHERLANDS - MAR 8, 2014

, 750ml. Head: shrinking white foam. Colour: clear, golden. Aroma: citrus, vague malt. Taste: medium bittersweet. Palate: smooth, medium bittersweet finish, moderate carbonation. Overall: nice.
This beer is near abbey tripel territory, but has some features lacking. Appearance is bland and dull, head is almost non-existent. Aroma is musty, sour hay and flowery, but seems slightly off. Taste is also underwhelming, sweet and buttery, but without the hops punch you’d expect from it having three kinds. A little more work and this might be really, really good.
