COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The "little sibling" of 1800 English IPA is the definition of Standard English Bitter. A beer with nutty, bready fruitiness and a slight hop presence.

Pour on tap is dark reddish with thin off white head, aroma has notes of slight grass but a lot of grainy, cereal, biscuity type malts, some slight caramel notes and hints of toffee. Taste is pretty plain and malty, I wish it was more APA style than English/bitter style, even fresh the hop presence is very weak and is dominated mainly by biscuit, toffee, cereal and caramel notes with slight earthy bitterness at the end.

On cask at the brewpub. Pours a yellowish amber color with a big white head and very nice lacing. Aroma is mild, a little bread, fruity. Medium on the palate with light carbonation. Flavor is sweet, fruity, raspberry?, cereal. A nice beer.
