Brown pour, beige head. Aroma is nutty, caramel, chocolate. Flavor is barrel heavy(what kind of barrel tho?), nuts, toffee, ripe fruit and some chocolate too. Unique as hell. hellomynameis (877) - Mayer, Minnesota, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Very dark and possibly a bit hazy–though its hard to tell with the low light and dark color–with an off white head. Can’t tell if it’s black or just dark brown. Roasty, almost hop like nose, with some chocolate. Dark fruit sweetness with a balance of black dark roasted coffee along with a nice malt profile. Quite enjoyable and a bit too easy to drink. arminjewell (9688) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 27, 2010
Pours black with off white tan head that dissipates. This brew is night and day cold versus warm, so make sure you warm this up. When properly warmed, the aroma is full of chocolate, coffee, and roasted notes. Taste is great, with the port coming through in the beginning leading into nice smooth chocolate, coffee, and molasses that goes into a slightly smoky and dark fruit finish.
