COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our strongest, darkest and most heavy regular offering. It is virtually black in color and features rich roasted malt flavor with a delicate caramel and vanilla finish. It is carbonated and served with the use of nitrogen gas, giving the Black Water a beautiful cascading pour and thick, creamy foam atop your glass. Made with only the freshest American malts and English hops.

Growler from the source, shared among the family. Coffee, chocolate, some lactose and caramel. Fairly sweet, but not cloying. 14.2

On tap at Town Hall. Pours a very dark brown with light passing as crimson when backlit. Aroma is mild and sweet chocolate malt, caramel and oak. Flavor is same with slight off flavor I’ve tasted in home brews. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel, bittersweet finish.

Pours very dark with beige head and OK lacing. Lots of oats on the nose. Taste is heavy roast with a decent aftertaste.

On tap. Pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is roasted malts, chocolate, light oatmeal. Taste is very smooth and the flavors are there. I was expecting the roastiness to hit me in the face a bit more but it was well-balanced.

Draft at Town Hall. From notes. Caramel with some roasty vanilla and chocolate. Pretty darn good.

The freckles needed to go .. . Brown stained table .. . Light foam .. . Some burnt instant oatmeal and mild grain .. . Easy to drink .. . . Wearing a tie makes you look professional... unless you have no pants on..

tap pour at brewery. black pour with a thick tan head..aroma is what you would probably expect...roasted malt, sweet chocolate, oatmeal notes, hint of something burnt...melds together nicely. flavor is very forward with the same...chocolate and roasted malt, a slight lactic note, oatmeal...good stuff though, and this would stand out in a row of oatmeal stouts IMO. palate is chewy and thick, but not overly so. good beverage, this one exceeded my expectations.

Had it on tap at Town Hall Brewery in Minneapolis! Poured a nice black hue. Rich toasty hue flavor with a great coffee father taste.

A very roasty and complex sample pour at Town Hall. Really rich with biscuity sweetness, very dry finish, and some nutty/toffee/roasty flavors in there as well. Must get in MN!
