Tap at the brewery. Jet black pour with a thick brown head that eventually settles down into a ring around the glass. Big roasty nose, burnt oak and Italian roast coffee. Taste is all roast at first but then fades into vanilla beans and whipped cream. It is silky smooth in the mouth. Amazing -- like velvet on the palate. I would love to try an imperial version of this. Great stout. novels (424) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - JUN 8, 2013
A very roasty and complex sample pour at Town Hall. Really rich with biscuity sweetness, very dry finish, and some nutty/toffee/roasty flavors in there as well. Must get in MN! gregwilsonstl (2660) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - MAR 7, 2017
Growler. No head. Bold. Quite thick and creamy in a wonderful way. Sweet. Vanilla rounds out to caramel. ryanfolty (2604) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - JAN 26, 2013
January 26, 2013 on tap at brewery. Dark pour with nice head. Roasty, oats and sweet in taste and aroma. Love me some oatmeal stouts and this was very good.
