And the hits keep coming tonight . . .a growler of the blueberry porter was brought to our tasting tonight. The blueberry flavor was not overwhelming. riversideAK (6265) - Shoreline, Washington, USA - NOV 27, 2010
Nose of blueberry, light roasted malt, touch of darker malt sugars. Pours dark brown. Thin head settles to nothing. Flavor is lightly roasty, notes of nice blueberry, lingering dark malts, dry and roasty with subtle fruity sweetness in the finish. Really drinkable and good. growler; thanks skinnyguy!! pours light brown with purple tints; faint head on first pour but more of a light tan head from the middle of the growler; blueberry, milk chocolate, a touch of creamy roast; thin texture with light blueberry syrup; porter is definitely thinned out a bit, esp. flavor-wise; but the level of blueberry is very nice kbutler1 (1382) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 18, 2010
Draft. Poured into a pint glass. Nice looking dark brown color with a slight rich looking tan head that collars around the glass. The aroma is roasty malt with some ligh roast coffee and a touch of ripe blueberry smell. The mouthfeel is a nice creamy medium. The blueberries are much more prevalent in the taste than in the nose. Blueberry sweetness gives way to roasty porter flavors. Mild licorice taste lingers at the end. Not bad but I would have wanted more blueberries in this. piscator34 (2673) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - OCT 27, 2010
On draft at the brewpub. Muddy brown in colour with medium carbonation. Aromas are of milk chocolate, roasted nuts, blueberry, and mild caramel. The fruit flavor fades rather quickly in the mouth, leaving behind a melange of chocolate, toast, and pale malt flavor. Medium bodied, which seems a bit thin for something labled as a "milk porter", but the drinkability is good.

Dark reddish brown and black pour with tan head from growler. Aroma of chocolate and blueberry. Taste is nice sweet chocolate and blueberry mixing into a sweet finish. Simple, but a good balance of fruit. MartinT (10155) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - NOV 11, 2010

This Milk Porter’s cushiony mouthfeel is the setting for the diplomatic union of roast, chocolate, blueberries and lactose, building an astonishingly elegant pint.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of black skirts the perfect darkness.
-This avoids the pitfalls of many a fruit-laced Porter or Stout in that the fruit is but a quiet player in the flavor profile. Well done!
-The finish, like the rest of the brew, is soft and elegant, with a dash of tartness.
-I honestly never thought I’d appreciate a beer billed as a Blueberry Porter; another sign of this brewer’s prowess, I guess!
From a growler.
In short: A sweet, creamy and very lactic porter that doesn’t overdo the blueberry thing. Decent beer.madvike (3306) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - OCT 28, 2010
How: Fresh growler sent to me by oakbluff. Thanks a lot Scott. Tasting session with Montreal crew.
The look: Black body toped by a medium tan head with medium retention
In long: Nose is moderately roasted with unfocussed fruity notes. Tastes is almost what name implies. A smooth creamy velvety roasted malt backbone like a oatmeal stout. The lactic character and the beer is almost milky. The fruit presence if moderate and not particularly blueberry, I could have guessed blackberries and others. A bit too sweet and heavy to be sessionnable but it is a enjoyable beer nonetheless. I was sceptical about the “Blueberry Milk Porter” idea but this is a well made beer. Did you know that almost 100% of convicted serial killers in north-america have had milk and blueberries at least once in their life. Think about that.
Growler shared by DalzAle...thanks Greg! - Cola colored pour with a small tan bubbly head. Smells like a blueberry muffin, with a bit of smoky, roasted malt and chocolate. Yum. Taste is a little blueberry sweetness and lactose, but not a ton of the normal porter characteristics. A bit bland. Pretty thin mouthfeel, with detracts a bit. Interesting concept, but sounds (and smells) better than it tastes.
