Minnesota Trip Beer #5. Keg at the brewpub, 5/7/16. Clear copper, thin creamy tan head, good retention. Aroma of toasted malts, caramel, herbal hops. The taste is toasted malts, cherries, grassy hops. Medium bodied. islay (2734) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - JUL 31, 2016
5 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Consumed on 7-24-16. Mostly clear, slightly hazy bronze to dull amber. Small to moderate amount of creamy, beige head. Ordinary appearance. Juicy, bready, malty smell. Underbaked bread and orange citrus scents. Not my favorite aroma. Simple, clean, dry, cracker flavor. The juicier, stronger elements from aroma are there but, thankfully, toned down. Dry finish and aftertaste. Perhaps too dry. Medium body. Smooth and a bit frothy. Forgettable palate effects. Doesn’t do it for me. Not as well executed as is typical for Town Hall. jackl (8071) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - SEP 23, 2015
Keg @ TH. Deep Amber with a small head. Toasted brown bread. Pears, fruit leather. Flavor is moderately bitter. Peppered toast. Woodland earthiness. Medium body, soft carb. Braudog (6712) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - SEP 2, 2014
Draft at the brewpub. An amber beer with a sticky top. Malty with a bit of earthy, ruddy hop. Clean and well balanced. A good ’everday’ ale well suited for long days of drinking. (#5707, 8/31/2014) cards04 (2793) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 23, 2014
At town hall brewery. Sampler. Aromas of English hops. Sweet Apple and bubblegum flavors.. Nice bitter finish. Quality stuff.

sample draft at brewpub. aroma is mild, but has some of the characteristic toffee and caramel-like notes...some bitter notes in the background. flavor is also somewhat mild, bout generally tasty...toffee malts, hint of caramel, toasted and slightly yeasty, but not particularly Bitter. palate is medium bodied...generally appropriate for the style. good brew, but this seemed a bit out of style...almost got an amber ale or marzen feel from this at times, but would definitely revisit regardless. oneeighthcuban (106) - - MAY 13, 2013
Smell is very malty/toffee/caramel and English hops. Taste has something off about it that I don't care for. It his right up front, and is a little off putting. There is a really solid beer here with some tweaking.

Tap at the brewpub. My 700th rating from MN brewers! Clear light amber pour with white head. Toffee and earthy hops. Slightly sweet. Good. nickd717 (4682) - San Francisco, California, USA - MAY 1, 2013
Tap at the brewery. Clear deep amber in color with an off-white head. Big malty notes on the aroma, nutty with caramel. The flavor is very nutty and restrained on the hops. Caramel and toffee with leafy flavors. Medium-bodied and smooth on the mouthfeel. An excellent example of the style, even if it tends more toward an amber ale. On tap at the brewery, nice clear ruby caramel color with white head. Aroma of sweet malt and caramel, taste is similar with some nutty flavors coming through, light bitter finish.
