Tap at TH. From notes. Pour is a fairly clear dark brown, with a nice head that fades to a ring of lacing rather quickly and leaves spotty lacing. Aroma is fairly roasty, with some burnt malt, chocolate, a touch of coffee, and sweet jammy cherry tones. Taste is much the same, with a bit more sweet malt, and the cherry really finishing a slight bit more tart than it smells like it would. Overall, not a bad beer at all. I generally dislike lacto stouts but this one is good. Intense cherry pie filling in the aroma and the flavor, and well roasted grain in the flavor as well. Full flavored with a full palate. A very well done dessert beer. portableparty (2366) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 3, 2010
Tasting at Autumn brew review. Pour was brown with a red hue when held near light, tan creamy head. Aroma was sweet tart cherries along with malt. Taste was creamy and sweet with cherries. Palate was chaulky and creamy which finished dry. kbutler1 (1381) - Minnesota, USA - OCT 3, 2010
Draft at Autumn Brew Review. Pours a nice reddish brown color with a slight tan head that collars around the sample glass. Very cherry in the nose with both sweet and tart notes. Medim mouthfeel and really nice with the use of the lactose in making this one. Town Hall always come through on the mouthfeel and this one is no different. Very strong cherry flavor up front that carries throughout your entire drink of this beer. The nice malt backbone plays second fiddle to the cherries but is a really nice touch. Overall, a beer I cold drink all day.
