Best beer of their sampler on 12-21-10. Pours a hazy light gold and copper. Nice lasting ring of head. Pretty beer. Aroma is sweet cherries, sugar, and typical belgian yeast notes. Very nice. Taste starts off just like a normal tripple, with the nice yeasty and estery tones I like, moving quickly to the cherries you pick up in the nose. Cherries drive the beer home. A fairly smooth and easy drinking infusion. An interesting and good beer. I initially thought it finished too sweet (due to the cherry flavor) but this is not the case, especially as it warms. Perhaps could have used some oak tannins or something to balance the cherries more? Liked it a lot though. Tripplebrew (778) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - SEP 24, 2009
Pours a reddish orange with light white head. Aroma is tart cherry. Flavor is sweet, cherries and sugar and yeast. Body is light with medium carbonation. JK (6158) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - SEP 18, 2009
Draught, 2009 ABR. Dark yellow appearance, just a little haze. Big cherry aroma. Flavor has lots of real cherry, that pretty much overwhelms everything else, including the high abv. Some sweet sugar and recognizable Belgian yeast, but first and foremost, a good cherry beer. WisconsinBeer (716) - St. Paul, Minnesota, USA - SEP 12, 2009
Tap, Autumn Brew Review 09. Pours a hazy reddish orange color, minimal head. Flavor is sweet, ripe cherries, Belgian yeast, bready fruity esters. Finish is sweet tart cherries. Interesting take on the style.
