Keg @ Town Hall. Slightly hazy medium amber pour with a small head. Soft chili. Apple and pear. Some banana, fruit salad. Flavor thankfully isn’t dominated by hot pepper. Some earthy bitterness. Tangy pepper. Bread. Medium body, soft. northropfrye (3515) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 13, 2011
On tap at Town Hall. Has a witbier or hefeweizen bready taste with a touch of hot peppers, which dominate the aroma. Definitely an acquired taste. Nice expirement. NobleSquirrel (3438) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - FEB 4, 2011
Draft at Town Hall. Per menu and staff, jalapeno & poblano. Pours a standard hazy gold with a fluffy white head. Nose is fresh and very green. Some light bell pepper and crisp jalapeno notes, complimented by a soft yeast character. Some distant banana and clove come through, as well as bread. On taste, there is a distinct chile note, fresh and green. Some light heat accompannied by fruitiness. The hefe is a pretty solid beer but not too sure on the addition of the peppers. Okay. kbutler1 (1381) - North Carolina, USA - OCT 18, 2010
Draft. Pours a slightly based amber color with zero head. Spicy chipotle aroma with a touch of smoke. Surpisingly sweet with an underlying heat from the chilis. Medium mouthfeel. The sweetness of this beer kind of throws it off. I would have prefered less sweetness and more heat in a chili beer. It’s like drinking a spicy banana! Not terrible if you are looking for just a touch of spice. 5oz is for sure enough of his one.
