Draught at the Town Hall Brewery, Minneapolis, MN.jackl (8217) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 21, 2015
Clear bright golden color with a small white head.
Fruity, juicy and citrusy hoppy aroma with freshness and a lot of juiciness.
Citrusy and earthy hops, moderate bitterness and dry maltiness in the flavor.
Not bad at all.
Keg @ Town Hall. Gold pour with a small white head. Nose is full of citra character. Plenty of herbal character. Mountain meadow and sea grass. Light resin and citrus. Taste is nicely bitter. Woody and sharp. Some lemon. Grass. Great stuff. deyholla (11759) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - OCT 21, 2015
On tap at the brewpub. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of bitter citrus with a hint of onion and grain backing. Flavor is full of citrus that grows in bitterness and has a slight resinous note underlying. Bacterial (3009) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - OCT 20, 2015
Clear amber pour at the Brewer with a white head and white lacing. Excellent west coast style IPA - big juicy citra in the nose and taste. Well attenuated, bitterness in the finish is there but does not detract from the citrus yum. cbfobes (2883) - Quad Cities, Illinois, USA - DEC 31, 2014
On tap at 2014 GTMW, pours a clear orange with a thin head, believe it or not, citrus aroma with quite a bit of tropical fruit, the flavor is much of the same, good amount of citrus and fruit with a sweeter finish, just not as clean as some other citrus beers I’d had, still pretty good though.

On tap at GTMW 2014 - Pours amber with a foamy off-white head. Nose is stinky Citra hops, lightly sweet bready malt. Taste is Citra too with a sweet malt base. Medium body with lots of carbonation. JK (6202) - St. Louis Park, Minnesota, USA - AUG 31, 2014
All Pints North, 2014. Orange copper color. Big citrus hops aroma and tons of citrus hops in the flavor, with good malt sweetness that still lets the hops remain prominent. oakbluff (451) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - AUG 23, 2014
Growler sample and had on tap at Town Hall. Pours a lovely transparent copper with a pillowy thick head. Very frangrant nose of tropical fruits - mango guava tangerine etc. Taste- silky somewhat creamy thick mouthfeel delivers more tropical goodness. Quite juicy in hop flavour without the over the top alpha bitterness. Malt gives some caramel and bread undertones but overall is more in the background. The richness of the malts more comes in the finish as feels like a heavy brew yet doesn’t taste heavy.. good stuff TheHOFF43 (2052) - Robbinsdale, Minnesota, USA - AUG 15, 2014
From Stine---Clear, rust orange pour. The tropical and stone fruit perfume is effusive even as the glass is twelve inches away. Lychee, white peach, guava, pineapple. Whatever could be found in the misty tropical forest could be found in this outrageously ebullient hop. The lightly dank, earthy back end makes clear the fact that citra needs no assistance from other varietals to unleash an effusive, dynamic aroma.
Bright and snappy flavor has a more needly quality to it. Lychee and tangerine are present, but there is a slight stickiness in the malt profile that weighs those flavors down somewhat. The finish is grapefruit-dry and floral.
The body is medium with a mildly slick texture that is long lingering. I’d prefer this a few percentage points lower in abv, but the citra punch here is only slightly weakened by this detail. Stellar stuff.
From Thehoff43-Awesome beer, I liked the high alcohol because I wanted to get drunk and this was perfect. islay (2820) - Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA - AUG 3, 2014
16 oz. pour, on tap at the brewpub in Minneapolis, MN. Consumed on 8-1-14. Pours a clear copper with a moderate amount of even, long-lasting, beige head. Produces good lacing. Looks good in the glass. Strong aroma features scents of armpit (but not in a bad way, somehow), mango, peach, pine, lemon, and orange. Very good smell. Piney, dry taste. Quite puckeringly dry in fact. Flavors of tonic water, lemon, and lemon peel. Yeasty breadiness in both the aroma and flavor. Medium body. Soft and smooth in the palate. Refreshing yet substantial and filling. I love the palate effects, which are Surly-esque in their softness. This is my kind of beer! It is the quintessential American IPA and quite delicious. It’s likable and quite good across the board. Yet another big winner from Town Hall.
