Winterfest 11. From notes. (With modifications from a pint at the brew pub) Really enjoy this beer! Very slightly hazy brown pour, with a spare tan head and little lacing. Tastes and smells like chocolate covered almonds rolled in coconut. Slightly sweet malts give way to a dry-ish finish. A great tasting beer that I could drink a lot of. nickd717 (4691) - San Francisco, California, USA - FEB 28, 2011
On tap at the brewpub. Cloudy medium brown in color with a small off-white head. The aroma is nice with huge coconut and amaretto, nuts, and caramel. I am a sucker for coconut, and this one has me hook, line, and sinker. Great toffee and nut malt flavor. Again coconut steals the show and it’s AWESOME. Vanilla and almonds as well, maybe slight fruity notes. Medium-plus bodied and very smooth on the mouthfeel with medium-soft carbonation. This is f***ing BOMB. Hope I see this beer again somewhere. Sampled on tap at the brewpub (Minneapolis, MN). Pours a nice brownish copper hue, with a more copper amber bottom, a decent offwhite head dies to a ring. Laces small. Aromas are coconut off the bat, with touches of chocolate, brown malts, and toffee. Wow, the cocoa nut strikes the nostrils. Initial is sweet, coconut and vanilla dominate, with brown malts. A touch of spice, but sweet smoothed coconut rues the day. Taste is fuller bodied and sweeter than the nose surprisingly. Very sweet, big coconut oils, quite interesting. Suffers a bit from a drinkability standpoint. Too sweet overall for me arminjewell (9676) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - FEB 20, 2011
Winterfest ’11. Pours hazy brown, with white head, aroma is all coconut, chocolate, and nuts. Taste is like an almond joy, with the big notes of coconut, chocolate, and almonds blending perfectly into a sweet delicious treat. Town hall hit it here, but with just a slightly thin palate. Good stuff. DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - FEB 20, 2011
Growler. Clear medium brown pour, average light carbonation and nice coconut/mounds bar aroma. Flavor is heavy on the fresh coconut, some noticeable chocolate and very rich and creamy on the aftertaste. Very good, but don’t go near this one unless you really like coconut!

Draft. Poured into a pint glass a clear, light brown reddish color with a light tan 1 finger head that is quick to settle out. Coconut dominates he nose on this one with a sweet chocolate aroma as well. The taste is pretty sweet upfront with the coconut and chocolate, a slight bitterness in the backend. Having had Three Hour Tour before, this one is like a less heavy, lighter waterdown version of that. Pretty tasty. Wish it had better head retention. Medium mouhfeel. badgerben (5187) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - FEB 7, 2011
Minnesota Winterfest 2011. Brown color with a medium head. Holy freaking coconut, Batman! The aroma and taste are like a glass full of liquified coconut. Very delicious, but it obliterated the beer.
