In short: A nourishing spicy banana cake in a growler. Very nicefata2683 (2176) - Tucson, Arizona, USA - JUN 18, 2011
How: Fresh growler, improvised HF 1rst anniversary camping tasting. Growler sent to me by oakbluff, thanks a lot Scott
The look: Cloudy amber body topped by a small white head
In long: Nose is dense banana cake with some cloves. Taste is more or less the same. Plenty of wheat, plenty of semi-ripe bananas, medium spiciness (cloves mainly), medium sweetness sensation, low hops presence. Creamy nourishing mouthfeel. This is a straightforward beer but it is just expertly put together in an above-average way. A lot of drinking too place on that improvised camping tasting. I got really drunk, didn’t feel so good and I said I would not get that drunk again. I say really dumb things when I’m drunk.
on tap at the brewery pours hazy orange with a medium white head. Aroma is big banana and clove with apricots as well. Flavor is creamy wheat, crackers, grassy hops and a big banana finish. JulienHuxley (5792) - Trois-Rivières, Quebec, CANADA - JUN 2, 2011
Large pour from a growler brought to HF anniversary after-party by Glouglouburp, merci Dany. Hazy pale yellow pour with some head. Big banana bread aroma, cloves and wheat. Taste is sweet, banana bread with a good spicy finish. Palate is full and slightly creamy. Very rich and tasty. I prefer my wheat beers lighter but this one was good.

Dark gold pour. Huge banana and clove, along with some more complex spices and bready notes, in both the aroma and flavor. Really solid stuff. Jblauvs (1358) - Chester, Vermont, USA - MAY 31, 2011
Hazy Golden Orange pour. Aroma is dominated by clove and overripe banana, wheat. Very Creamy in the mouth, flavor is sweet banana, some light breadiness, clove spice, wheat, some light alcohol. Sweet but pretty good.

Tap. Hazy light orange pour with a white head that fades off. Kind of a funky nose - ripe banana, wheat, orange, and a hint of spice. Semi creamy on the palate initially, followed by a small CO2 zing. Taste is clove dominant with ripe banana and wheat. portableparty (2347) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - APR 30, 2011
Growler pour thanks DalzAle. Pour is cloudy yellow gold with a soapy head that fades to a film. Aroma is sweet and bready with yeast. Taste is sweet and tons of yeast and wheat with a subtle bitterness. Palate is medium with a fizzy chaulky finish. kbutler1 (1381) - North Carolina, USA - APR 29, 2011
Draft. Poured into a pint glass a cloudy orange amber color with a 1 finger foamy, white head. Fruity aroma of orange, banana, spice, and clove. Medium mouthfeel. Nice flavors that is domintaed mostly by the banana ester notes and orange. For 7.3% the abv doesn’t shoaw as much or really at all as you would expect. Malty sweet start. Spice in the back end. (growler) Pours a very hazy dark orange/gold with a towering white head that takes a while to settle and leaves good lacing. Aroma does have overripe banana to it, but it’s not as potent here as in other hefeweizens. Accompanying the banana is a scent of bubblegum, light clove, and moderate cinnamon. A bit of must and lemon peel as well, followed by a bit of baked bread. Not very strong aromatically. Flavor follows the same progression as the aroma, with some overripe banana appearing first, then the bubblegum, followed by the spice. Crisp wheat shows up big on the finish, and leaves somewhat of a chalkiness in the mouth. Lingering tones of baked bread. Mouthfeel is full and creamy with lively carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden. Overall this is a very good wheat beer, and it’s nice to see some quality wheat beers being produced locally. DalzAle (2037) - Eden Prairie, Minnesota, USA - APR 23, 2011
Growler. Slightly hazy dark orange pour, good frothy and lasting carbonation and an aroma of sweet banana esters. Flavor is creamy malt, slightly bitter bananas, some spicy hops and a little white pepper and cloves. Aftertaste is lingering a earthy, very enjoyable.
