Pour on tap at the brewery is dark brownish red with nice off white head, aroma brought notes of cocoa powder, hints of dark fruits, caramel, toffee and a hint of nuttiness as well. Taste is a mix of caramel, sweet toffee, biscuit and fruity notes, hints of cocoa and a slight nutty note, finishes fairly sweet.

Date: February 12, 2012 Mode: Draft Source: Town Hall Description: Translucent reddish brown pour with some head. Malty, nutty, smoky, alcohol, spice and caramel in the aroma and taste. Didnít seem like the name was consistent with the style, but oh well it still was pretty good.

Tap at the brewpub. Clear reddish amber pour with a smaller creamy head. Nose and taste is earthy malts, caramel, slight fruit, and slight smoke. Decent.
