Hazy copper color with a large head. Light cidery aroma and solid orange peel. Holy crap the flavor... monster orange and tangerine. Juicy apple and peel. Light grain and caramel. Freaking delicious. Almost a half beer half cider creation. arminjewell (9689) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 26, 2010
Pours orange/yellow with white head. Aroma has notes of spice, apple, orange and a touch of bread. Orange juice is the main taste, with notes of apple and malt, with a sweet alcohol finish. Interesting, but really seems sloppy. LamarBurton (376) - California, USA - DEC 22, 2010
Oh dear. After last years Festivus, I was looking to be blown away. Needless to say, I was not. A hazy light copper pour, with a lasting ring of head and decent lacing. Aroma is a touch of hops, a touch of caramel malts. Subtle fruit, but cider and orange as expected. Fairly complex. Better as it warms up...if only the same could be said for the rest of the beer. Not going to lie...I hated the way this beer tasted. The overwhelming orange juice flavor was just too much. It covered up everything but a little bit of apple and a touch of pepper in the middle. I was burping OJ for the next two hours after one sample. Alcohol is hidden by the fruit punch mess though, but the rest of the beer tastes watery and under carbonated, slightly acidic as well. I let this warm up nearly to room temp, hoping it would improve...It didn’t. A very one dimensional beer. To make at home: Add one part OJ, one part slightly flat tonic water, and a shot of vodka. Draft. Pours a cloudy amber orange color that reminds me of how mango mama looks. Slight tan head of 1 finger. A very fruity aroma of citrus, apple, and cherries. Wow, this taste to me almost exactly like fruit punch! Fruity and very well blended flavors. For being a higher abv, the alcohol is pretty well hidden. Starts of with a mouthful of fruity goodness and then has a slight citrus rind bitterness that creeps on. Very easy drinking. Festivus for all of us!
