Black color with a small head. Aroma of chocolate and tart bananas. Very ripe banana flavor. Light dark chocolate notes. You can tell it’s more than just the malt and yeast kicking off the flavors, but not overdone.
Pour on tap at the brewery, dark brownish black pour with tan head, aroma brought notes of dark fruit, chocolate, coffee into a bit of spice, lots of overripe banana, bubblegum notes. Taste was a mix of big banana, dark fruit and chocolatey notes into a bit of spice, caramel, and toffee notes, finishing sweet. That1Guy (2241) - Colorado, USA - SEP 5, 2014
Part of a flight at the taproom. The only one I did not enjoy while I was at the taproom. Pours a dark brown/black. People are remarking on bananas, but I got more straight up body odor. This was like a glass of dark sweat for me. Not a happy experience. ryanfolty (2655) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - FEB 9, 2013
On tap at Winterfest 2013. Dark brown pour with head. Banana and chocolate in aroma and taste. Reminded me of eating those frozen chocolate covered bananas. cards04 (2943) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 7, 2013
Pours black with off white head. Smells like fake banana flavouring. Interesting. Tastes like chocolate and bananas. Very malty and doughy. Not bad. northropfrye (3732) - Steinbach, Manitoba, CANADA - JAN 6, 2013
Never tasted anything quite like this. Tonnes of candy banana aroma - comparable to banana Runts candy. Didn’t get a lot of chocolate from this as it was dominated by that sweet banana flavour and aroma. Certainly intense, and enjoyable, but a touch too sweet for my liking.

(growler) Pours a dark muddy brown color with a medium tan head that quickly dissipates. The aroma has a ton of really ripe banana along with scents that smell like the banana Runts candy. In addition to this scent there is a smell of chocolate syrup, but the banana really dominates. The flavor also has a bunch of ripe bananas, and the chocolate shows up strongly in the finish. The beer itself is really quite sweet, and I had to dock it a bit in the overall because it did get cloying towards the end of the glass. I think the beer would’ve benefited from a greater presence of wheat to cut through the sweetness towards the finish. Overall this is a tasty beer that is good, but only in small doses. Tap. Dark brown pour and an aroma of nutty bananas. Flavor was also decent amount of rich creamy banana, muted dry cocoa and slightly sweet. Worth trying once, but that’s about it. sthlm (790) - Blank, Alabama, USA - JAN 3, 2013
[Growler, shared by Guerde] Wow, this is quite the beer. Over-the-top blast of banana in the aroma. Taste similarly has huge banana presence, but this time, the chocolate also makes an appearance. Very sweet, and the banana becomes a bit much at times. Still enjoyable overall, but would love to see this with the banana dialed back, and more chocolate. Thanks for sharing such an interesting beer, Andy! BVery (11461) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - DEC 22, 2012
Tap at the brewpub. Dark brown pour with a spotty head. Big ripe banana and very sweet chocolate - this is delicious.
