Pours amber with off white head, aroma is full of the wet hop character. Taste is resiny, piny, with citrus and grapefruit coming in from the wetness of the hops, followed by a bit of sweetness that goes into a nice bitterness. Not overly aggressive, but a terrific Wet IPA. Glouglouburp (6103) - Montreal, Quebec, CANADA - DEC 13, 2009
In short: An original herbal astringent IPA. Good beerpiscator34 (2620) - Winnipeg, Manitoba, CANADA - NOV 2, 2009
How: Growler. Sent to me by Oakbluff, thanks a lot Scott.
The look: Clear copper-ruby body topped by a small beige head
In long: Nose has a lot of herbal minty hops
Taste is well balanced and not aggressive. This is not a hop bomb. Attack is sweet with red liquorice candy, barley candy and breakfast jam. Then the hops take over with cherry tree, pine-tree, herbs, pink grapefruits and a light spicy touch. Some crushed aspirin. A little resinous in the finish. Overall more astringent than bitter. I found the beer is a little too sweet for that type of hops without much bite. I drank the growler as soon as I got it and the beer had a very lively mouthfeel so I think my growler was in good condition. A very good beer but really not the hop bomb that Fresh Hops beer usually are. Still, I downed the growler in about 1 hour so that means the beer was pretty good. Town Hall really is a great brewpub from Minneapolis. Minneapolis is with Saint-Paul one of the Twin Cities. Their parents are San-Francisco and San-Diego who abandoned them to move down south and later separated when San-Francisco realized it was gay.
On draft at the brewery. Copper in colour with meduim carbonation. Very hoppy aromas of grapefuit, tropical fruit, and both pale and cara malts. The hops take over completely in the mouth, with notes of white grapefruit, leaves, orange, and black pepper. Medium bodied. Forceful, but not over the top bitterness. Lovely lovely hop juice! jake65 (3982) - Meridian, Idaho, USA - OCT 28, 2009
Copper pour with a small beige head. Rich nose of citrus and floral hops. Fresh, wet citrus hops dominate the taste. Just lightly floral, a bit of resin, and some caramel. Flavor just comes though so intense, yet approachable. Damn, this is good stuff! badgerben (5281) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - OCT 23, 2009
Copper color with a medium head. Viney and screaming hop aroma. Good god... more hops than are possible in a beer. I usually complain that brewers neglect flavor hops. Not so in this one. Might as well have pulled down a hop fine and started chewing on it. Very vegetal, citrusy and a bit of pine. Moderate malt background, but basically just a hop puree.

Growler shipped right after the release thanks to Mistofminn on BA. Arrived very fresh and awesome, with hop cones in growler. Clear reddish amber color with a large creamy white head and great lacing. Aroma is loads of fresh hops, mostly piney and resinous. Really smells great. Flavor is just a little sweet caramel malt, and then loads of fresh hops, pine and resin, not much citrus character. Must have used different hops from Masala Mama. Great palate: medium body with good carbonation and an intense lingering bitterness that destroys your palate. This is about as good as an IPA gets. tjthresh (1875) - Greenfield, Indiana, USA - OCT 17, 2009
Growler from Scott. Pours bright rusty orange with white head. Nose of fresh C hops. There’s a definate fresh hop twang. Drinks pretty good.
