COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Cru is a very mysterious style brewed primarily in Belgium and a few areas of France. Some Grand Cru is sour, some fruity, some weak, and some strong. Our version is brewed with a special malt from France, authentic Trappist yeast, and traditional sugars and spices. After an extended maturation period, tremendous flavors prevail from this light orange colored ale. Look for sweet candy-like flavors that may conceal spiced orange, plum, pear and toffee with a distinctive white wine-like finish. This Grand Cru was just awarded the silver medal at the Great American Beer Festival (2004) in Denver.

Tap @ Town Hall. Pours a slightly hazy dark orange appearance with a white head. Big spicy yeasty, banana, bubble gum, vanilla, candy aroma. Orange, banana fruity, chewy bubblegum, a bit goopy flavor. Not bad.

Draft at Town Hall - yum!! Clear amber pour looking like apple juice. Nose is fruity. Nice mouthfeel, just the right balance of booze and fruit / spice from the yeast. Well done.
