UPDATED: AUG 15, 2011 Tyler sent me this little gem is a Growler. Thanks! Copper pour, clear with a white head. Crystal grain malt aroma with citrus and spice hops. I did not get tired of smelling this one. Very hoppy and bitter flavor. Light citrus and strong spice hops. Very little malt that the hops beat into submission. This was a powerfully hoppy brew that came across as way to unbalanced. Good, just unbalanced. Medium body with a very dry finish. Pretty good. I know my rating makes this seem like it was over the top excellent but the fact is that it was an OK DRINKING beer but just seemed very well put together in all other aspects. Growler. Clear dark orange pour, plenty of carbonation and a good bitter dry hop nose. Flavor is bitter creamy orange, light herbs and again finished very dry and refreshing. Solid beer all around! badgerben (5316) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - AUG 2, 2011
Dark copper to brownish color with a medium head. Monster hop aroma, lots of pine, dank and vegetal character. Incredibly bitter taste. Very strong vegetal and plant-like flavor. A little pine, but mostly, it just tastes like hop materiel. Some caramel malt notes after warming. cruchr123 (29) - St.Paul, Minnesota, USA - JUL 26, 2011
10 oz pour on tap into a snifter.
A- Dark bronze color, one finger frothy off white head, nice carbonation streaming off the bottom, nice lacing.
S- Big hoppy aromas really nice, pine and grapefruit come out, the description says heavily hopped with CTZ, and summit hops, malt is present as well to balance it out.
T- The taste is not as enjoyable as the aroma, interesting taste, definitely hoppy, nice bitterness is present, malt backbone, earthy notes.
M- Medium, well carbonated, crisp finish.
O- This is an interesting beer; the aroma is fantastic but the taste lacked a bit, glad to try it once.
