COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hope and King is a full-body brew and is rich in malt complexity. Brewed with both English and American barley and many, many specialty malts this deeply colored ale has hints of roasted chocolate, caramel and raisins with very little hop presence. Our interpretation of the classic ale that originated in Glasgow, Scotland.

Decent, had a 5 oz pour. They really made a point not ot have hops in here, it is roasty, caramally, and rasiny, but it could have used a hint more smoke.

Very drinkable scotch, chocolate and caramel, atad on sweet side. Medium yellow with a minimum head and white lace so surprises in taste.Above average mouthfeel, satisfying. Above average for style. I was noticing the alcohol a bit, as if it was 8-9%.

Draught at the Town Hall Brewery, Minneapolis, MN.
Clear dark copper color with no head. Sweet malt, wood, nuts and toffee. Although I like Scotland Im not a big fan of Scotch Ale. However this is an example of a Scotch Ale I like quite a lot.

Draft... RBSG 07... Clear copper ale with a small, creamy, white head. Vinous aroma with a note of toasty-sweet brown sugar and a butterscotch kiss of diacetyl. Sweet, roasted, brown sugar flavor with a dab of maple syrup and just enough bitterness to control the rich blend of caramel-type malts. Medium-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and lively carbonation. Bitter-sweet finish. Excellent Scotch ale!
