At a bottle sharing. Pours a clear amber with a nice tan head. Aroma of florals. Taste is lavender, honey, spice, and grass. Interesting, but very drinkable. Suttree (6360) - Knoxville, Tennessee, USA - OCT 3, 2011
First rate at the 2011 GABF. Before I go on, allow me to make some disclaimers - yes, I did attempt to rate at the GABF, yes, it was was from more than one sample, and yes, it was difficult. I pretty much gave up about an hour in. I did rate a few more if they were outstanding, but for the most part I just wrote down what I sampled and enjoyed myself. That being sad, I really like this one - It tasted like perfume smells, if that makes sense. lots of lavender in the aroma, a good bit of honey, too. Nice, dry, winey finish. kbutler1 (1381) - North Carolina, USA - JUL 9, 2011
Draft. Enjoyed at Town Hall on a sunny Saturday morn. $4.75/pint. Pours a clear medium dark copper amber color with a slight white head. Very floral and fragrant aroma. The lavender really sticks out. Medium mouthfeel. Sweet start with a mix of the lavender and lots of orange flavor as well. Very easy drinking, the 7.3 doesn’t really show up all that much. The lavender lingers on for a while. Overall, pretty nice. cbkschubert (2901) - BFE, Arizona, USA - DEC 31, 2009
Growler via trade with tytoanderso a few months ago - Pours a clear copper color with a large off white head. Nice lacing. Aroma is flowers and herbs. Flavor is light honey, herbs, and flowers. Medium body. Nice beer. Thanks Tyler. arminjewell (9585) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - DEC 30, 2009
Pours orange with white head, aroma is full of the lavender and a bit of hops. Taste up front is a bit of hops that works right into the lavender, and the sweetness from the dates and honey comes through followed by very minor hop bitterness. An incredibly different and interesting beer, not necessarily one I would always want but was excellent to try.

Growler courtesy of tytoanderso in yet another overstuffed box brimming with awesomeness. Took this one camping (fortuitous arrival time on the box) and enjoyed it overlooking Lake George in the height of autumn. Pours a fairly clear golden orange amber with a huge light tan head. Floral aromas of lavender and slightly medicinal spices hit the nose immediately, backed up by some fainter caramel notes. On the thin side of medium bodied with a nice soft sweetness, and the herbs really come through again, heavy n the lavendar. A little overbearing at first actually. Finishes up with a nice light bitterness. Overall quite interesting. daknole (11044) - Scottsdale, Arizona, USA - OCT 11, 2009
Amber pour. Lavender just dominates this beer both in the nose and on the tongue. A bit nuts on the lavender. Some light spice and honey is noticeable but the lavender dominates too much. badgerben (5123) - Blaine, Minnesota, USA - SEP 28, 2009
Copper color with a large head. Floral aroma, predominantly lavender. To say it has a strong lavender flavor is an understatement. Light honey. Too much while still quite cold made me think I was just drinking a pint of potpourri. But after it’s up to about cellar temps, the lavender calms down a bit, and some cinnamon pokes out. Pretty nice and interesting. tennisjoel (1448) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - SEP 26, 2009
Sampled at ABR 2009. Pour was a cloudy golden body. Floral character for sure. Dry. Very interesting flavor. I thought this was pretty unique and enjoyed the flavor. Tripplebrew (778) - Saint Paul, Minnesota, USA - SEP 24, 2009
Pours an amber with light white head. Definite lavender notes. Flavor is even filled with lavender and undertones of sweet sugar. Body is very light with mild carbonation.
