Tried pushed and from cask. Maybe the only beer I’ve ever had that I liked better pushed.
Reminded me very much of the Kolsch they put out a while back. Maple and grain and clean yeast flavors. Not really enough hop or malt to satisfy my tongue and not strong enough to satiate my liver. Not bad, but not something I’d drink again.
Gold Color with White Head. Dry Crisp Aroma. Chamomile, Dry Malts and Hops with Balancing Maple Syrup and and General Herbal Feeling to the Beer. Pours a hazy orangish amber, topped by a good inch of pure cream suds. Mildly sweet and flowery/herbal aroma.
Light and fresh tasting beer, the maple is quite noticeable - in the aroma, flavor, and most especially the aftertaste. I’d say the malt flavor was closer to a sweet wheat than anything else. Or maybe a vanilla cream soda. Or maybe somewhere in between. The hops in the finish were floral and a little grassy. Light body, gentle carbonation, very smooth from the cask pour.
I have made a few ciders in my time using chamomile as a ’dry hop.’ I didn’t notice any similarity in flavor in this beer. Having said that, I prefer the subtle grassy herbal character of Spring more than the bold apple-spice that chamomile has contributed to my ciders.
Interesting beer, very well made, but a little too sweet for me to want more than one in a sitting.

Why they had this on tap in early October I have no idea...but they did. Very interesting. Maple syrup in the nose, chamomile tea in the flavor. Underlying dry essence but with a compelling fruitiness and flora quality. Tingling brewpub carbonation--would rather have it on cask if I could. Light hop and herbal aroma. This beer looks like a lager but a good one. It is dark gold, and there is a light head. It is very clear for being unfiltered. Flavor is grassy. There are herbs and organic flavors, almost like they dropped in a handful of plant matter and got lucky because this is good stuff. Some honey. A little sweetness in the flavor, and a small dose of Town Hall yeast. On-Tap at the brewpub: Fairly clear pale golden yellow. Tall, firm, and steady head of white foam that lasts and lasts. Most lacing sticks in bigger spots and patches with a few strings flaying out.
Aroma is of orange/peach chamomille tea with a slight pale yet clean sweetened malt background. Its actually quite fragrent and herbally sweet, it just comes across a bit one-dimensional.
Taste is more of the same, with a sweet tea-like fruityness of peach, apple, orange, and a tender herbal hint thats reminiscent of mint, dried grass, wheat grain, and rosemary. Maple is thin and entering just before the finish where it slowly fades leaving more of the herbs and flowers texturizing the finish with a glimmer of leafy hops.
Feel is firm and smooth with a decently adequate carbonation thats tender and quick within a light/medium body. The well-rounded nature of the overall is malty with subtle plys of texture gathering breezes of the herbs and flowery things throughout its duration.
A favorably light and steady little brew to quaff for "Spring", tasty enough, yet a tad boring and one dimensional.

On tap at the brewpub in downtown Minneapolis. Dark golden pour, very little head to speak of. Sweet aroma, pick up hints of maple syrup, kind of earthy and a bit odd, but not unpleasant. Has an organic feel to it, tasted a bit like green tea. Pick up the mpale syrup that is advertised as well. Thick enough mouthfeel. From a growler, after a pint at the release yesterday. Let’s pull a glass close for an examination...
immediately, I notice differences in this glass from a growler than I did at the pub yesterday. Thee look is amber/ dusky and clear. I guess you could say yellow/orange...No haze, though, and no head. ( A second pour gave some head, but it died shortly.)
Aroma is herbal and lightly sweet, definitely tea-like. Bright and slightly citric.
Taste: Mild and mellow, if you made me stick to 2 words. The herbal component gives a wheat-like texture that I like. Maple gives just enough sweetness and flavor, without really tasting of maple.
Body is light to medium. Smooth and refreshing. Superb drinkability, but those of us yearning for hops will find this lacking, although that is by design.
For what it is, this ale is excellent. Relaxing, satisfying, and unique. A fine tonic for washing away the troubles of the day, while enjoying a beautiful spring afternoon.
I could imagine it going down supremely easy, but after my first pint, I went for a Masala Mama, hungry for hops. This is easy to please, though, if you’re searching for refreshment.
