Huge bourbon notes from this beer. I was not expecting this beer to be what it was. Wonderful amounts of toffee and caramel that follow suit with the bourbon. Wish I hadn’t dropped my other bottle of this on my way out, HUGE waste... ryanfolty (2540) - Bourbon County, Minnesota, USA - FEB 24, 2012
Date: February 24, 2012 Mode: Draft Source: TH Brewery Description: Opaque orangish brown pour with some head and lacing. Aroma is bourbon, wood, malty/caramel and some apple. Taste was consistent with aroma, ridiculously smooth to drink with the right amount of alcohol finish. Very well done, made me wish I bought two bottles instead of the one....well just like the Cubs there’s always next year. BVery (10327) - Plymouth, Minnesota, USA - FEB 24, 2012
UPDATED: DEC 17, 2013 Tap at Town Hall. Hazy orange pour with a nice clingy white head. Aroma is wood, bourbon, apple, and maybe just a hint of vanilla. Nice smooth palate. Taste is the same elements as the aroma, and very bold. Tremendous. 48FanInCali (851) - California, USA - MAR 1, 2015
2012 bomber - thin copper pour with razor thin head and no retention. Let the glass warm up to about 55 degrees. Wonderful nose of maple, vanilla, wood, sweet malt and caramel. Taste follows the nose with a tad of bitterness. No oxidation to speak of. Typical thinner mouthfeel given the wheat malt but this is a very good BA wheatwine that I have yet to find a rival for.

On tap at Town Hall, wish I had a few bottles of this one! Smooth, sweet, a touch boozy (which I like). Best of the series this year do far (just a few hours from the Czar Jack release).

Tap. Hazy tan pour, very thin carbonation and a slightly sweet woody apple aroma. Flavor is also nice and woody, light raisins, slight apple, bourbon and slightly spicy on the finish. Alcohol is hidden extremely well. Solid. readbaron (78) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAR 24, 2012
Nose is really nice - honey, a bit flowery, some whiskey. Taste isn’t quite as nice as the nose. Feel and taste are a bit thin. Bourbon, honey malt, some bourbon. Excellent, but not quite as nice as the buffalo bock. jtclockwork (16444) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 17, 2012
Bottle. Pours reddish brown with white head. Nose/taste of applewood, bourbon barrel, oak, toffee, coconut, bready malts, caramel and honey. Nice complexity. Smooth silky finish with splash of warming alcohol. Medium body. jbeatty (1247) - New York, USA - APR 25, 2012
Bottle, tasted 04/20/2012, thanks to chewy08rx. Pours dull brown, burnt copper, frothy off-white head, fades to creamy glaze over the surface, fine lacing. Aroma largely barrel dominated: oak, big coconut, vanilla and sweet toffee, dark grain bread, and subtle, slightly tart apple for a crisp ending. Taste is sweet coconut bread, caramel and light fruitiness, pleasant spicy bourbon finish. Medium thick palate, but smooth, alcohol well hidden. Bold, rich flavors here, but not many complexities beyond the barrel influence, but still enjoyable. hopscotch (11049) - Vero Beach, Florida, USA - MAY 22, 2012
Bottle… WPB Town Hall Meeting 2012… Pours clear and golden with a small, white head. The nose is a malty merger of coconut, vanilla, sourmash whiskey and caramel. Full-bodied and velvety with medium carbonation. The flavor is a simple blend of caramel and bourbon. Hot, but tolerable. Finishes caramely, boozy and warming. Much thanks to landhoney and newcigarz for making this meeting possible!
