A: This one pours a dark amber, perhaps copper, color with a minimal off-white head. S: Incredibly sweet and fruity. I dont get a ton of the barrel/spirit character out of this one, but its good. Apples, pears, and golden raisins all seem to be there as well as a bit of honey and toffee. T: Sweet caramel and brown sugar with a fairly strong alcohol character. Touches of vanilla and charred barrel, too. Nice and fruity with some apples (and apple juice) and golden raisins, mild spices and peat, too. M: The body is medium with the carbonation being on the low end of medium. D: Much too heavy on the fruit and apple juice qualities.

Bottle WPB Town Hall Meeting 2012 Pours clear, deep and dark with mahogany highlights and a mid-sized, wispy, off-white head. Great retention. The aroma is a luxuriant swirl of Jack Daniels, toasted malts, toffee, caramel and straight-up sourmash distillers beer. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. The flavor is caramely and malty; minerally and gently acidic. Tangy sourmash finish with plenty of warming whiskey and a gentle kiss of buttery toffee. Big-time kudos to landhoney and newcigarz for making this meeting possible!
