Blackberries provide a tart and subtle backdrop for this wheat beer. Fruity aromatics complement our unfiltered, round bodied, summer sipper.

For some reason they’d blacked out the barcode on this beer at the liquor store but I ain’t complaining. Still trying to keep up with the explosion of craft brewers in B.C., they’re like flies, buzzing around all over the province. You find em here and there, for better or worse, and I hope all of them get their gonads together to bring forth great brews that will keep people coming back. So this pours a beautiful pink with huge head, kind of like a rosé wine with pink foam on top. The aroma is berry and barnyard funk - giving me a hint into a time past, that when I lived in France and frequented Belgium drinking those beers of fine balance. It’s an esoteric mix to get it right, between the fruits and the grains and the yeast, but suddenly there it is, a lifetime of memories coming back with one whiff of this beer. The flavour is an odd mix however - overtly citrusy with a hint of wheat funk to dull them, the utopia I was dreaming of while smelling this fell apart into a rather too common mix of flavours once it was sipped. A little too sweet and cloying, there’s no finesse to the equation. This one was destined for greatness but fell when it counted. but at least my memories came back.

Bottle, shared with new neighbours. Very hazy pinkish violet, white head. Lightly perfumey berry fruit, dry wheaty body, a bit sweaty. Light and refreshing and not too sweet. Nice.

650ml bomber pours a pinkish red color with a light pinkish finger and a half of head that settles quickly leaving some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is berries and grains. Taste is a fruity and malty sweetness with some tartness and a grassy hop bitterness finishing dry. Light to medium bodied with good carbonation that tickles the tongue. A decent fruit beer that is worth tasting.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy carmine red color with pinkish head. Aroma and flavor remind me of refined white sugar, the flavor is off-sweet with vague fruit touch, the bitterness almost absent.
Not bad drink, also not a beer.

Light berry aroma. Slight cider and sweet taste with a light fruit finish. Amber color

@Backeddy Pub, Egmont. Purple colour, really pretty. Aroma is fairly malty, the fruit showing more on the palate, especially with juiciness late. Refreshing late summer ale.

On tap at Bitter Tasting Room in Vancouver . A sharp blackberry note right away. A lighter, fruity impression overall. Nice apricot color with beige head. Very pleasant.

Sampled at Great Canadian Beer Festival 2013. Lasting white frothy head with a cloudy orange body. Nose is slightly sour... Good berry. Above average. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

650 ml bottle. Pours a pinkish brown with full head. Aromas of blueberry muffins and wheat. Dusty fruit flavor with earthy wheat - maybe a bit of lavender. Can’t say blackberries are a great addition, but an OK cooler.

rumproasts (6052) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - AUG 18, 2013
Tap. Hazy golden pink with small head. Nice fruitiness provides a good compliment to the base beer. Lightly tart.
