3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Pours dark brown with some reddish tones. Nice malt aromas and a hint of coffee. Cocoa powder in the mouth, nice, but quite simple. Fairly dry and drinkable. A bit hard carbonation. Again, drinkable.
Bomber, modest head, okay brown, nuttiness on the nose and hints of hops, soft molasses, sharpness. Flavour has hints of coffee, nut, sour chocolate. Weak on the mouth, needs a little more oomph. Promise, but it hasn’t arrived yet. bulldogops (2726) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 22, 2015
Rating #1345 - 3.12.2014. On tap @sugarbowlcafe. Dark brown pour with a rich, creamy tan foam that bubbles away slowly. Aroma is roast malts, coffee, lots of clove, nutmeg, molasses. Light bitterness, light cocoa edge. Pretty good porter. solidfunk (9363) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - OCT 26, 2015
Some roast but fairly light overall. Pours black/dark brown with ok head. Light sweet finish. Not a lot of substance here. Tap at Barley Bros Stadium. mcberko (18583) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - SEP 17, 2015
On tap St. Augustine’s, pours a deep dark mahogany / brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted malt, cocoa and bready notes. Flavour is quite bready, with toasted bready malt, cocoa and thick sludgy, almost fudge-like notes. Super thick palate. It doesn’t seem much like a porter as much as a fudgy dessert dark beer. Decent but a little off the mark. dresden (1581) - Saskatchewan, CANADA - JUN 1, 2015
Clear dark brown, small tan head. ARoma is light, a bit sweet with chocolate. Taste is bitter malt, some grass, some slight smoke. but all a bit thin. Not bad or offensive, just lacking.

Dark body. Not as rich and flavourful as the Townsite oatmeal stout I had right before this. A but if roasty malt and some sweetness but not fantastic. AgentAle (1807) - Alberta, CANADA - JUL 19, 2014
Fragrant / floral aroma with some grass, hay, and light sulphur notes. Taste is sweet roasty malts that are met fairly quickly with an earthy bitterness. Finishes slightly tarty. Appearance is a clear brown/amber with a beige fluffy head that retains very well. Oakes (18543) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 13, 2014
Lots of roast, sweet malts, little bit nutty, good body. Nice porter, really quaffable. Good brew. fiulijn (21022) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 9, 2014

Dark mahogany color, some light goes through, with compact head. Mild aroma of roasted malt with a bread accent. Smooth, quite dry in the front, mellow later; good roasted malt flavor with some firewood and oven baked bread, mildly chocolatey; correct bitterness, some of it from the roasted malt, hiding the hop resins.
Bottle, shared with Parksy at 5am during the Canada vs. Sweden gold medal hockey game. Medium brown with an average white head that leaves no lace. Powdery cocoa, light roast. Thin, bordering on watery. Just ok.
