COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A Belgian WitBier, the Westview Wheat is spicy and citrousy with a golden-orange effervescence. It is hazy by design as this style of beer is typically unfiltered, the yeast adds a layer of body to this otherwise light and easy sipper.

When pairing this beer with foods it is easy to play on its citrousy character. Salad with vinaigrette, Grilled fish with lemon and parsley or a Charcuterie platter of: cheeses, meats, olives and pickled onions.

Bottle. Pours cloudy amber, small off-white head. Quite a bit darker than most beers of the style. Not a very big aroma, subtle notes of wheat, citrus and a tiny bit coriander. What is there is pretty good though, and as it warms up I get more of everything. Low bitterness, medium sweet. Taste is wheat, bit of orange peel, fruity yeast, coriander in the background. Again, pretty subtle, but opens up more as it warms up a bit. Personally, I’m not a fan of to much coriander in a beer, so this works for me. This beer is exactly what it tries to be, refreshing summer seasonal. I wouldn’t recommend drinking it to cold if you want to taste it. Would gladly drink it again.

Rating #1175 - On tap at Beer Revolution 11.07.2014 Pleasantly surprised. Hazy golden/orange pour with a decent white head. Aroma is orange (mostly from the garnish), ginger, and coriander. Taste is citrus and grains, mild mild hops with a yeasty kick on an otherwise smooth finish. Very drinkable.

Some banana going on here. Citrus and hops too. This is an ok beer. Not the best witte out there.. But still decent.

On tap at bb wpg. Some lacing golden body. Sweet corn and honey aroma. Sweet but effervescent taste. No hoegaaeden but a decent Belgian white.

650ml bottle pours a hazy golden orange color with a massive white head that has decent retention and leaves some spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma is citrus and spices with hints of cereal grains. Taste is a light citrusy and spicy hop bitterness with a malty sweetness. Light bodied with decent carbonation. As far as wheat beers go, I thought that this was quite well done. Recommended.

Draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver
Cloudy deep blond color. Aroma of vegetables and paper. Dry mouthfeel, flavor of paper, vegetables, light coriander, and the bitterness has chicory tones.
Not good.

Jaune brumeux avec une mousse blanche moyenne. L’arôme du malt et blé. Le goût est d’abord du malt légèrement sucré et un peu épicé puis du blé avec une finition un peu sec.

Lagerboy (2239) - British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 19, 2013
Bomber. Hazy pale yellow, big lasting cumulus white head slowly settles. Musty yeasty aroma, citrus, wheat and spices. Taste is wheaty, citrus, wit spices, some clove and coriander, pretty basic. Lively carbonation, light bodied, low hopped. Dry mineral finish. Clean, crisp and refreshing. LBW (Lagerboys Be Wary)

Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival. A tame, unassuming wheat ale -- dry, doughy, light hay, banana (didn’t catch any of the alleged "citrousy character"). Crisp and bitter on the finish.

I bought one of these last night, it was pretty good. Even my mother, who doesn’t like beer, tasted it and said she likes it. Same with the Zunga.

Pours a cloudy gold with a huge, puffy white head. Aroma is spice, wheat, and bubble gum. Flavour is the same with some mild brown banana. Lingering bitterness that comes off as sharp and metallic.
