COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Part of the ’Hulk Series’. This year’s edition is a fresh take on last year’s Charleston, the triple that started off the series, sort of Charleston 2.0 if you will, with the same floral nose but less boozy aromas, more citrus notes and a lighter body. Be sure to handle this one with care or you may not see the 9% ABV coming until it’s too late...

mcberko (18998) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAY 16, 2013
On tap at St. Augustine’s, pours a hay golden with a small white head. Very aromatic with loads of Belgian yeast, a little crisp green apple, and some doughy malt. Flavour of Belgian yeast, candied sugar, booze and floral notes. Extremely flavourful and slightly better balanced and crafted than the Charleston Tripel. Finishes on notes of booze, candied sugar and apple. A little boozy but very drinkable nevertheless. Great stuff.

stantheman (1098) - British Columbia, CANADA - NOV 1, 2013
On tap at Btter Tasting Room in Vancouver. A nice orange-amber color with substantial whitish head. Some lacing on the glass. Some fruit on the nose. Fruit and spices in the mouth. Not as complex as some of the Belgian tripels, but quite nice overall. A good effort from the boys and girls in Powell River.

jercraigs (10886) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 18, 2013
2013-10-10. Crisp dark yellow body with a nice foamy white head. Aroma is quite bready and biscuity, lightly yeasty and alcoholic. Flavour is similar, sweetish bready biscuity pale malt, light bitterness and warming alcohol in the finish. Average plus bodied palate, modest carbonation. Decent take on a triple but the alcohol is just a bit too boozy for me but serving it a bit colder would likely help mitigate that. Bottle shared by GregClow

blankboy (7808) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 21, 2013
Bottle [650ml] shared with GregClow, mds, jerc & mabel -- c/o GregClow. Pours a deep copper-gold with an average size lasting frothy off-white head. Aroma of alcohol first followed by sweet bready malt, sugar and honey. Flavour of buckwheat, bready malt, sugar, perfumey notes and more hops then I would’ve expected for the style. Medium bodied. I wouldn’t want a ton of this but as a small serving it’s good.

AgentAle (1812) - Fort Mcmurray, Alberta, CANADA - NOV 23, 2014
Aroma is honey, clove and sulphur. Taste is roasty malts, caramel, honey, light fruits and a well balanced citrus hoppiness. Appearance is a clear gold body with a thin pearl head that retains fairly well.

reebtogi (6385) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - MAY 16, 2013
650ml bomber bottle pours a golden amber color with a generous white head that retains quite well and leaves some decent lacing on the glass. Aroma is light fruits and mild yeast with some candy notes. Taste is a fruity and malty sweetness with some light citrus hop bitterness and a bit of yeast on the finish. Light to medium body with some nice carbonation. Overall, a little on the sweet side for the style, but a decent brew nonetheless.

3.3
solidfunk (9407) - Washington D.C., Washington DC, USA - MAY 13, 2013
Well-balanced but on the lighter side of trippels. Has some coriander and clove. Pours blond clear with good lacing and head. Finishes with light sweetness. Some booze in aroma as well. Finishes a little astringent. Tap at St. Augustines.

3.2
gramity (1684) - Edmonton, Alberta, CANADA - JAN 7, 2014
A pleasant floral aroma right out of the bomber bottle. The pour leaves little head, but it stays with the glass. The opening taste is a little citrusy, but that leaves quickly.
