Bottle from Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours near black with a thick tan head and a chocolate aroma. There is a rich chocolate and dark molasses flavor with a hint of Belgian yeast ester and a dry bitter finish. bhensonb (15745) - Woodland, California, USA - JAN 15, 2014
Bomber from Whole Foods in Folsom, CA. Pours very dark brown with a slight dark tan head. Aroma is chocolate and yeast. Med + body. Flavor is dark chocolate, smooth burnt malt and some hints of yeast. Trying to get some fruit ester, but the chocolate is pretty strong. There’s a bit of heat hitting the back of my throat, but not much. Pretty solid and tasty stuff.
