COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Served in a Pub glass. Fermented with Edinburgh Scotch ale yeast and brewed with a hundred pounds of smoked malt, big flavors from smoke and caramel malts make this a pleasure for the palate. A rich burgundy color and subtle flavors of bacon, caramel and smoke are all balanced by slightly earthy and hoppy chracteristics.

The aroma is malty burnt caramel smell. Murky dark brown with reddish look in the light. a little acidic up front with a woodsy malty flavor and lingering soft sweetness after swallowing. Medium to heavy body with creamy texture. Wonderful Scotch Ale that is full bodied but still light and easy drinking

On draught at brewpub. Pours a clear deep mahogany color. No head. Very slight malty aroma. Big body. Solid malty flavor. Very slight sweet malt flavor balance. Overall, clean and substantial for a nice winter beer.
