UPDATED: AUG 1, 2013 Pours crystal-clear orange with a big, pillowy, and long-lasting head. Fairly faint malt aromas. Medicinal flavor - cloyingly honey-sweet that covers up a lot of booze. Almost no hop flavors beyond a hint of bitterness. Very little carbonation and a thick syrupy mouthfeel. Fredis23 (564) - Hickory Hills, Illinois, USA - JUL 22, 2013
Amber Color, Huge Foamy Head, Lots Of Lacing. Sweet, Toasted, Malt, Light Alcohol Zing. Medium Body. Easy To Drink. Pretty Decent. Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2013
Picked up at the Trader Joes in Plano. Yellow with a white head. The aroma is full of sweet grain. The flavor is more of the same with some grain and grass character. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. Fairly bland overall. Scrapersnbeer (1532) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 10, 2013
Big grainy, booze laden malt aroma. Golden copper color, surprising effervescence. Sweet sugary taste, flavor is more strong alt than bock. Flush smooth body, seems pretty filling. Not the equal of some other Biersch offering for TJ’s. nealblind (1865) - Seattle, Alabama, USA - MAY 30, 2013
Orange pour with one finger orange head. Smells orangey wheaty and appley. Tastes tart briny mid-range herbal hops leaves a sourdough taste in your mouth. Also sorta dry alcohol finish. Not too sweet as many people seem to claim. Lots of flavor for a bock. pretty good!

Easy drinking light bock with satisfying taste. When compared to Yuengling bock the Trader Joes is much preferred. burg326 (5482) - Florida, USA - APR 23, 2013
12 ounce bottle poured a golden color with aromas of grain, husk, light earth and some floral notes. Flavors are the same, nothing special, decent overall. Arayaga2 (2197) - portland, Oregon, USA - APR 5, 2013
Clear gold with thin white head. Not much aroma, and taste isn’t very distinctive either. Toasty malty sweet and that’s about it. Light alcohol flavors. $2/12oz maekchu (3911) - Hirakata, JAPAN - MAR 10, 2013
Bottle (as "JosephsBrau Hofbrau Bock") from Trader Joe’s in Athens. Big crude malty aroma, some alc. Clean medium straw color, with a slightly rocky head. Hard sugary intial, with a tinge of hops / gets roasty in mid, with caramel / sweet, near cloying, at final. Medium body. Not so good. A cheap-tasting brew. Went to a friend’s for a bonfire the other night and saw this new-to-me brew in the cooler. My first of the TJ’s brews. Poured into a pint glass.
Pours a cloudy honey-gold with a thick white frothy cap on top. The nose carries some sweet floral tones, fruity sweetness, and a slight dry huskiness on the closeout. Smooth carbonation. Subtle bite, with a slightly oily feel. Mild fruit-like flavor, apples, honey, crackers. Pretty mild unoffensive beer. Nothing that exciting, but I wouldn’t turn one down. A refreshing easy-drinking beer.
