In this bottle is Belgian brewery know-how dating back to 1867 - the year the recipe was created. It’s a crisp, golden ale brewed using only water, malted barley, hops, and yeast. The dry-hopping procedure, in which uncooked hop heads are added after the brewing process, gives this beer its unique floral aroma and taste.

Clear gold pour nil head. Smells slightly yeasty mostly like barley and pale lager hops. Tastes like a beany pale lager. Overhopped, watery, and barely drinkable.

$1.17 bottle from Trader Joe’s, Charlotteville. Pours very clear pale golden with a large white head. Aroma of corn, cardboard, light floral hops, dust. Flavor is cardboard, grains, yeast, chalk, light grass.

bottle. golden with one finger head. moderately sweet, with very slight belgian yeast. otherwise, seems like a mediocre euro lager at heart. not good, but wasn’t expecting it to be.

tightslice (1435) - Redwood City, California, USA - NOV 1, 2016
Bottle from Trader Joe’s in San Carlos, CA. Aroma is corn, moldy corn, apple juice, musty apple juice. Taste is bland, like a commercial beer without any of the crispness. No Belgian spirit to speak of.

luttonm (6749) - Seattle, Washington, USA - OCT 13, 2016
Bottle in Seattle, from TJ’s of course. Creamy head, clear deep gold. Veggie-egg funk, vaguely Belgian yeast. Nothing precise, a bit too veggie sweet lager flavor. Chalky malt. Aye, really don’t like this. Sweet cardboard.

brownaler (706) - Alexandria, Virginia, USA - JUN 17, 2016
Faint Belgian yeast aroma. Body is lager strains with a floral yeast that is a bit off. Finish is a little harsh.

csaso (2321) - Missouri, USA - DEC 30, 2015
Bottle - small foamy head, light gold color, light bodied, some fruity esters, sweet malt, ok overall ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Quite light and lager-like, though hints of Belgian come through. Earthy, trashy, watery. A sweet malt underneath.

UPDATED: AUG 16, 2015 Kind of weird and kind of good. Sort of a german lager and belgian ale had a baby, Not very complex, sweet. Serving: bottle

yellow, fizzy, with a very loose white head. Smells very toasty and yeasty. Taste is sweet, surprisingly boozy for 6%, plus some unpleasant sourness. Some grassy hops in the finish. All in all, pretty much a mess.

From 12oz bottle, purchased at Trader Joe’s, around $6-7 for 6 pack, poured into Belgian glass

Aroma: sweet, spices,

Appearance: golden, crystal clear, white head, good lacing

Taste: light sweet, medium bitter

Palate: light body, creamy texture, lively carbonation, lingering bitter finish

Overall: Very crisp with some hops. Very nice initial aroma which fades after a minute or two. Taste is somewhat spicy. Very clear - crystal clear body. Overall, not a bad beer. Easy drinking, highly digestible. A tad bitter than I expected for Belgian Blonde, but not overly so.
