Bottle. Musty yeast, lemon, malt and herb aroma. Hazy pale yellow with giant white head. Lightly sweet musty lemon. light malt, and mildly bitter herb flavor. Body on the lighter side. Pleasant. jcr (2719) - Jasper, Indiana, USA - FEB 4, 2015
Bottle. Hazy golden body with a big, frothy white head. Aroma of fruity esters, pear, spice, orange peel and bread. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes lightly to moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, watery texture, lively carbonation. Not surprisingly,Unibroue’s house yeast has its fingerprints all over this beer. Light banana taste along with a bit of clove, pineapple and floral hops. If anything, it’s a bit light on its feet in both flavor and aroma for a 7.5% beer. Enjoyable, though, and the moderate price for the 750 ml made it even more enjoyable. glennmastrange (2897) - hobe sound, Florida, USA - JAN 28, 2015
Bottle. Moderate malt aromas of bread and straw, herbs and lemon peel for the hops, heavy dough and barnyard for the yeast, with notes of pear and alcohol. Head is average size, fizzy, white with some slippery lacing and good legs, and is mostly diminishing. Color is hazy light amber. Flavor starts slightly sweet and moderately acidic, then finishes lightly sweet, acidic and bitter. Palate is medium, slick with a lively to fizzy carbonation and finishes lightly alcholic. This is a nice Belgian Strong Ale. Fruity aroma, a hint of sweetness and a smooth feel. Beergeek23322 (2602) - Chester, Virginia, USA - JAN 20, 2015

Sampled at esbls. Golden with a white thin head. Belgian yeast and malts aroma. Barnyard-esque. A dry malted beginning with soft fruit and yeast. A fruity flourish at the finish. Pleasant. Very typical of the brewery. I like it.

UPDATED: JAN 20, 2015 Pretty decent abbey style ale. Not the heights of some of Unibroue’s other stuff and not as complex but perfectly good. Both sort of sweet and dry in different parts of the sip and after taste. Serving: Bottle jandd1983 (4442) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JAN 3, 2015
It poured a hazy golden color with a white head. The aroma was of spiced bubblegum yeast and some citrus. The taste was of sweet citrus with a little bitterness and banana after it warmed up. The palate was medium slick and dry. Sammy (12491) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 28, 2014

Trader Joes stamp or not, what we have here is a well-crafted Belgian style pale ale from a brewery (Unibroue) that consistently males great Belgian style beers. The fruity and yeasty aroma features yellow banana, citrus fruits and apricots, It is accompanied by a complex fruityand lightly spicy flavor.
The medium body has champagne-like effervescence
