Bottle from tj’s. A well done belgian ale. Quality malt presence with a slight hop bit finished with a crisp dry finish carried by typical belgian carbonation. Belgian done well; Unibroue. daleharshman (1064) - Escondido, California, USA - FEB 9, 2014
750 ml bottle purchased at Trader Joe’s in Escondido a little over a year ago ($5.99). Pours into my Unibroue tulip glass a slightly hazy straw-amber hue with a big three fingers of pillow-y white head. AROMA of Belgian yeast, bready malts, honey, basement, pear, and a little bit of spice. FLAVOR of honey malts, sweet bready malts, sweetish Granny Smith apple, poached pear, Unibroue yeast, banana, with a bit of ginger and other spice. Nice spritzy carbonation. Some echoes of La Fin du Monde, but this is still a good effort and at a great price. (135, 839) charule (2268) - New York, New York, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Bottle from TJs I assume. Poured hazy golden yellow with cream light head. Aroma of straight naners. Light carb med bod. Light dry sweet banana taste. PhillyCraft (7228) - Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA - FEB 8, 2014
Bottle shared with Brian in Vt, pours a hazy golden color with light white head. Notes are valentines chalk candies with the sayings on them. Other notes of clove, Belgian yeast, coriander, peppermint, and spice. Refreshing drink but not a style I enjoy these days. Bazooka joe bubblegum finish with the comic paper still on it. Better than most. Braudog (6716) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JAN 28, 2014
Bottle, caged & corked. Nice-looking yellow-orange pour, vaguely hazy, the head bright white and built atop some beautiful swirls of carbonation, piling high into foam. The aroma is sweet with banana cream. This drinks almost like banana soda, with a frothy mouthfeel, like a whipped meringue in a glass. Very nice. (#5422, 1/28/2014)

1/25/14. 750mL bottle. You’ll never guess where from. Lightly hazed golden pour with a nice khaki head that sticks and laces okay. Banana, cream, esters, lemon peel, and a touch of yeastiness in the aroma. Sweet cream flavor, lemon, banana, clove. If not for the doses of Belgian yeast touches, I might guess this was a hefe if tasted blind. ClarkVV (6708) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JAN 17, 2014

Lovely Uni pour, plentiful carbonation rising in a clear, bright golden body, with tons of white head, receding to an inch and well-retained there.
Fruity (lemon, peach, nectarine) esters in the nose combine with lovely, complex pepper phenols and a well-integrated biscuity-honey (I think I’ve used honey in every one of my reviews lately, my apologies) maltiness. Vanilla, herbal hops, a touch of drying alcohol and a very high strength of aroma overall. Wow, for $6 dollars, this is startin to shape up very well.
Not able to wait long for the beer to breath, I dive in and am very pleasantly surprised by the extremely clean yeast flavors and perfectly well-attenuated maltiness. Graham crackers, dough, black pepper, saazy hoppiness and plentiful golden fruit esters are very cohesive here. A touch, no more, of alcohol dries out the finish and the perfectly done, spritzy carbonation keeps the palate fresh. Medium body, low but still apparent hop bitterness and free from any of the occasional Unibroue pitfalls (heavy yeastiness, DMS, corn). Drank this alot faster than I expected. Really good. Not reinventing the wheel here, but everything is done wonderfully and the flavor and aroma are very strong. Wow.

Long Island, NY - 750 mL bottle poured a hazy golden color with fluffy white head. Aroma was spicy with fruity undertones. Taste was very sour, not what I was expecting but the character of a Belgian ale was there, very effervescent. However, I was expecting more from this beautiful bottles beer. Not a bad brew for the price.
