Pours a cloudy amber, with a small off-white head. Starts with a slightly sweet taste, just a hint of bitterness in the finish. Not a bad beer, maybe something to keep if you can’t find something better. TheOrange (479) - Kent, Ohio, USA - FEB 12, 2007
Nice clear amber pour with a slightly yellow head. Nice sweet malty aroma. thin to medium body beer. With very low hops the sweet malty aroma comes across with caramel character. This malt is mild and pleasant. The finish is slower and bitter with a slight buttery flavor. Way too carbonated. An OK Vienna. The aroma was nutty and malty with a caramel aspect which was quite prominent. Vienna and Munich malts stood out and seemed a bit stronger than found in most Vienna Lagers. A very light haze was in the amber beer with a fleeting head. The flavor was malty and nutty with a Munich/Vienna malt toasty character. The flavor was just edging toward sweet, but was not cloying. The body was medium and the carbonation level was just below moderate. An ok Vienna, but with just a bit too much malt character.

Biersch has made a surprisingly good Vienna and it is great they sell these beers so cheap. Viennas as not complex beers, nor do I expect them to be. The alcohol is maybe a little higher than typical. This beer is straightforward, simple malt. But it is well done. A session beer and slightly dry. joebrew (608) - Farewell Minny; Hello Puyallup, Washington, USA - JAN 26, 2007
Pours a golden bronzish orange with a small white head. Nice soft and sweet nose, with a nice earthy nose. Great easy drinking lager with a good balance.

Bottle from Irishboy. Pours a clear amber with a bit of white head. Some notes of caramelly malts and a bit funky earthiness. For sure not my fav style. NeonLX (261) - Wisconsin, USA - JAN 24, 2007
I wasn’t expecting a whole lot but I was very pleasantly surprised--this is a startlingly good beer for the money. From a 12-oz. bottle, this pours a crystal clear orangey-amber with minimal head. No lacing. Decent grainy malt presence in the aroma. Initial taste is nutty caramel with a hint of vanilla, followed quickly by a nice finish of hops. Surprisingly well-balanced and the finish is very clean. frankenkitty (2012) - Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA - JAN 24, 2007
Pours clear bronze with a fast head. Adversities settle to ice-creamy wheats and dusty, lagery malts. Flavor is lightly nutty, a little sweet. Light-to-mid-bodied (a little watery) finishing dry. Acceptable, but barely.

UPDATED: JAN 17, 2007 Aroma is simply aweful, smells like rotten hops but the taste is very good. Taste is sweet, woody and slighty carmely. Has an aftertaste of hops that is very light and refreshing. unclemattie (4358) - Georgia, USA - JAN 7, 2007
