Fiancee’s mom picked this up for me randomly while traveling in Chicago and I didn’t take good notes. bytemesis (8451) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - MAY 21, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear amber with a small off-white head that dissipates rapidly with no lacing. Aroma is slightly sweet, malty, bubblegum. Taste is medium sweet, lightly roasted malt, a bit of caramel. Light bitter finish. Not too bad for a hot day. SudsMcDuff (8429) - .....Manchester United.........., Texas, USA - JAN 10, 2013
Had as JosephBrau Vienna .. . tan amber .. mild head, pretty nice lacing .. . tin molasses and horse maple hay .. . light distracting mouthfeel .. . has a mild annoying back taste to it but other than that, decent for a vienna .. . . remember, when passing a running chainsaw to your buddy- the knife rule doesn’t apply...

12 oz bottle. Poured a clear amber color with a medium sized white head. Aroma was sweet grains, toffee notes, mostly malt forward. Flavor was caramel, sweet malts, grains. Low on hop notes, but still pretty tasty. PorterPounder (7971) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JAN 7, 2015
Tallahassee, Fl - Trader Joe’s - 12 oz bottle. Pours a light copper with a soft, slight off white head that leave a thin trail of lacing. Aroma has some light molasses accents, some nuttiness. Flavor leans to the sweet side, some caramel, some molasses notes, a touch of brown sugar. Mouthfeel has a decent texture to it. Not bad. blankboy (7699) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 7, 2005
Bottle shared with HogTownHarry, GregClow & tupalev -- courtesy of GregClow. This is the third Trader Joe’s beer in a row that we tried and I did not like the other two so I was not expecting much. This one was pleasantly better. Pours a clear amber with a small white head. Like the other Trader Joe’s beers the aroma is too sweet, like sugary malt, but it’s a little more balanced here. Flavour of caramel malt with a bitter aftertaste. My favourite of the Trader Joe’s beers but still not a personal favourite. Ughsmash (7508) - Pewaukee, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 6, 2006
Bottled. Poured clear reddish-orange with a fluffy beige head about as tall as the liquid. Nose was quite yeasty with biscuit and caramel maltage as well... clean and kinda boring, but not bad. Flavor was of smooth pulled caramel, biscuits, and pils malts with herbal bitterness and faint citrus at the back-end. Smooth, lighter-bodied middle with a moderately tart and bitter finish. This was not at all complex, but was most definitely drinkable.
