tasting.Pours dark brown with a big tan head.Aroma of cola nut, malt, spice and yeast.Flavor is sweet and warming with some caramel , spice and toasted malts.Medium body, lively carbonation.Nice beer.
Bottle, 75cl corked, shared by Brugmansia. It’s a reddish dark brown beer with a two-finger beige head soon diminishing into a thin layer of bubbles. Spiced nose with dried fruits and a solid dose of cola, and that’s not in a bad way. A bit effervescent maybe, full-bodied and not too sugary. Quite dry actually. Flavorwise there’s the same cola and spices found in the aroma, still in a nice way, a good bitterness chimes in too. A beer I enjoyed drinking. An odd mix of cola and a dubbel maybe, but the spices and bitterness adds the needed dimension to it. Nice. 110319 Dedollewaitor (16159) - Odense, DENMARK - MAR 19, 2011

750 ml bottle shared by Tmoney99. Pours a dark brown color with a small beige head. The aroma has moderately sweet malts, yeast and a hefty dose of spices. The flavor has a good balance with the spices, fruits and sweet malts. Lighter body than expected. This has held up pretty well.

bottle thanks to bhensonb. poured dark brown with a beige head. aroma was cinnamon, licorice, and fig. flavor was spot on with the nose with a light body and high carbonation. brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 31, 2010
A: The pour is dark amber/red-brown with a thin tan head forming.
S: Oh man, this is very medicinal. Smells like bandaids, sage, menthol, and anise. It’s also pretty obviously oxidized. The intense herbal and medicinal thing isn’t really for me...
T: It doesn’t improve at all on the palate. Cough syrup with plenty of sage and eucalyptus. There’s a bit of a sour apple flavor, which is weird, along with some warming alcohol and cardboard.
M: The body is medium with a pretty high carbonation and definite alcohol heat.
D: This was all sorts of no good. I wouldn’t even bother with this beer. auderale (605) - Minot, North Dakota, USA - DEC 15, 2010
Bottle from JohnC. Dark brown color with a medium tan head. Aroma is spicy with dark fruit. Fruity, lightly tart and lightly sweet followed with a little spice and a sweet fruity finish. I enjoyed this. Shitpantz (61) - Illinois, USA - NOV 29, 2010
Very tasty! Strong aroma right out of the bottle (I aged this one four years, just recently opened it) - poured dark with little head into a red wine goblet. Fine example of a strong Belgian Ale - loaded with specialty malts and a nice bready taste with hints of spice. The more you age this brew, the better it tastes as all the flavors meld together very well and the taste mellows. thirdeye11 (6160) - Dallas, Texas, USA - OCT 23, 2010
(750ml bottle thanks to ericandersnavy, side by side with every vintage from 2005-2009, this was #1 in my ratings) clear brown with a very long lasting head. Nose of Belgian yeast, spices, brown sugar, sherry and raisin. Taste of cinnamon, Belgian yeast, sweet chocolate, nice raisiny finish.
