Bottled. A deep brown beer with a red shine, under a brown head. The aroma is sweet malty with notes of spices and celery. The flavor is sweet malty and very spicy, coriander and cloves standing out, but also with notes of celery. joergen (28106) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - DEC 30, 2008

750mL bottle, pours a dark brown / near-black with a medium beige head. Aroma is full of spices, some dark fruits, and brown sugar. Flavour is full of spices, dark fruits, some caramel malts and some licorice notes. Lively carbonation that accentuates the complexity very well. The age has done wonders to this and there is no hint of oxidation. Great stuff. Oakes (17664) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - JAN 1, 2008
Very dark brown with an inch of head. Spicy, pruney, plummy, peary nose. Anisey, spicy character with a herbal note (sage? juniper?). Lots of malt and a big alcohol kick. Nice. yngwie (17049) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - MAR 19, 2011
Bottle, 75cl corked, shared by Brugmansia. It’s a reddish dark brown beer with a two-finger beige head soon diminishing into a thin layer of bubbles. Spiced nose with dried fruits and a solid dose of cola, and that’s not in a bad way. A bit effervescent maybe, full-bodied and not too sugary. Quite dry actually. Flavorwise there’s the same cola and spices found in the aroma, still in a nice way, a good bitterness chimes in too. A beer I enjoyed drinking. An odd mix of cola and a dubbel maybe, but the spices and bitterness adds the needed dimension to it. Nice. 110319 brokensail (16449) - Dublin, California, USA - DEC 31, 2010
A: The pour is dark amber/red-brown with a thin tan head forming.
S: Oh man, this is very medicinal. Smells like bandaids, sage, menthol, and anise. It’s also pretty obviously oxidized. The intense herbal and medicinal thing isn’t really for me...
T: It doesn’t improve at all on the palate. Cough syrup with plenty of sage and eucalyptus. There’s a bit of a sour apple flavor, which is weird, along with some warming alcohol and cardboard.
M: The body is medium with a pretty high carbonation and definite alcohol heat.
D: This was all sorts of no good. I wouldn’t even bother with this beer. Dedollewaitor (16158) - Odense, DENMARK - MAR 19, 2011
