Bottle from the brewery. Clear dark copper with a small white head (after a very aggressive pour) that fades quickly to a sheet leaving minimal lace. Nose is caramel and bread with a little bit of nuttiness. Light toffee sweetness with a moderate hop bitterness along with some tea. Mouth is medium thin with very soft carbonation which I expected as soon as I popped the cap (not sure if it has gone flat or if this is the nature of the beast). Just OK. czar (9075) - Québec, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 17, 2015
pours almost clear light amber reddish with a small off-white cap showing minimal retention and lacing. plain caramel and toasted maltiness, faint fruitiness, spices, dirt - strong earthy character in fact, pepper. average carbonation, light body - watery; pungent/unbalanced grassy-spicy-earthy finish. weak yet kind of decent for a trafalgar offering. kevinsenn (2213) - Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 3, 2015
Bottle, received as a gift. Toffee aroma with something off about it, which I can’t put my finger on. The taste is a reasonably good English ale. Good body. Drinkable, but not great. Ferris (15275) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - DEC 19, 2014
Draft - Biscuity malts. Clear gold with a rich beige head. Biscuity notes and nice bitterness. A long mellow bitter finish. Pretty decent. HopsandBolts (258) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 14, 2014
500 ml bottle from the LCBO.
Appearance: Pours a clear copper colour with a finger of white head that is gone very quickly. Minimal lacing.
Aroma: Malt, caramel, bread.
Flavours: Caramel, bread, malt, hint of hops.
Mouthfeel: Thin with almost no carbonation.
Overall: An okay ESB but there is an issue with the almost complete lack of carbonation. I’ve tried a number of Trafalgar beers recently and have noticed almost all of them had little to no carbonation.

Crystal malt all around. Amber with a nice white thin head. Smells of caramel with dark berries, malt, and some soft hops. Tastes of caramel at first with a dry bitter that washes away to a lingering caramel sweetness. Nice and sweet overall with decent complexity. RxForHealth (180) - - SEP 5, 2014
500 mL bottle. Beautiful brown amber pour. Some lacing and little head. Nutty and hoppy aroma that continues on the tongue. Bitter and creamy. Delicious.

On tap @ the brewpub in Oakville. Ruddy amber hue, tan head. Nice toasty caramel malts, a bit nutty, some tea, low bitterness. This beer had noticeably more body than many of Trafalgar’s other brews that I’ve tried, and even though it is rather simple, I enjoyed it. Haven’t had the bottle version. asheft (3082) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 29, 2014
Bottle. Pungent spicy and earthy hops with some toffee and wet cardboard. Clear bronze under a white ring and patch. Bitter toffee flavour with some earthy hops flavour, but lackluster. Canmoore (483) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - AUG 3, 2013
Pours a rich copper colour, with very little head. Aroma notes are quite earthy, with notes of toffee, spice, and caramel. Tasting notes include graham crackers, toffee, spice, and a smooth bitter finish. This is a decent beer, and would try again.
