PowY (975) - AUSTRIA - DEC 27, 2016
330 ml bottle. Pours a slightly hazy amber with a coarse, quickly disappearing head. The aroma is intensely hoppy - lemon with some sweet malts. Medium to full oily body with a soft carbonation, a medium to heavy bitterness and a light sweetness. The flavor starts malty (caramel) followed by fruity notes (ripe peach, sweet fruits), raisin and pine leading to a bitter hoppy finish.

Hazy golden color with creamy white head. Aroma is toffee, caramel, fruity hops, a bit floral as well. Taste is bittersweet toffee, a bit earthy as well, some grapefruit and floral hops, rather sweet overall. Creamy and oily mouthfeel. Not bad, quite well-balanced.

330 ml bottle from Biertempel Graben, Linz, 6.5% ABV, bb 17.06.2016.
Dark amber, hazy body, with a medium, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of orange, tangerine, citrus, grass, subtle tropical fruits, biscuit.
Taste follows this, with some more earthy and floral notes.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, a bit dry, zesty, earthy, floral, a bit sweet, a bit fruity.

Really nice. Refreshing, with quite juicy fruit notes, but also grassy and some nice earthy notes. Unique and characterful, one of the better Pale Ales from Austria I’ve had.

Bottle from Biertempel: Hazy amber color, off-white foamy head. Aroma is mainly hoppy, mainly herbal notes but also floral and shy citrus (peel) hints. Flavor is light malty with hints oft candy and caramel, herbal and floral hop notes. Light to medium bitter, herbal finish. Unusual but interesting and tasty.
