Its raspberry tartness and malt sweetness are reminiscent of this style's Belgian predecessors.

smoosh (536) - New Albany, Indiana, USA - MAY 23, 2006
Draft - cloudy, dirty gold with no sign of a bubble. Only a slight tingle of carbonation. Raspberry is not subtle, but not overdone like some. Some malt. Not terrible.

SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - DEC 3, 2005
On tap at the brewpub. Hazy light yellow in color with no head. Smells like raspberry candy. Has an aftertaste like children’s aspirin. The extract flavoring attempts to hide the presence of diacetyl esters.

MrRain (472) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 20, 2005
Draft at brewery. Thin and uninspired. The raspberry seems to be an after-thought. This brewery is consistant in the fact that all of their beers are thin and blah. This is so exception. It is an adequate raspberry but nothing more.

Terminus (3683) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - NOV 14, 2005
tap at brewpub-pours light orange with a small soapy white head. total cough surup aroma of berries. fizzy palate but not all that thin for this style. lightly medicinal on the flavors less than the aroma suggested. no hop presence to speak of. long raspberry finish that became a little more pleasant as the beer warmed.

igneous1 (1535) - Davenport, Iowa, USA - JUL 17, 2005
i didn’t think this beer was that bad frankly. mildly cloudy, thin and quickly dissipating off-white head. the wheat and fruit are quite prominent in both the flavor and aroma. it’s true that its a pretty thin beer, but the flavors weren’t that bad to me.

darkstar (69) - Eureka, Missouri, USA - JUN 7, 2005
Tasted three beers at Trailhead this weekend. None were good and this was the worst. Like all their beers way to thin.

Maddog (528) - Kettering, Ohio, USA - APR 4, 2005
Quite possibly the worst beer, I have ever had. I like a tart raspberry wheat beer, but this one was neither sweet, nor tart, it just tasted bad. Had a very weird off flavor. Avoid at all cost.

Braudog (6717) - Yorktown, Virginia, USA - JAN 1, 2004
Hazy yellow-orange with a sticky thin head. Little aroma. Very light raspberry character on a surprisingly full-bodied beer. Pleasant-enough balance between wheaty malt and creamy fruit.

hotstuff (5160) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - OCT 3, 2003
Poured a small sized creamy white head with fine-small sized bubbles that fully diminished. The body was carbonated and cloudy with yellow hue.The nose was that of mild malt and raspberry with a raspberry flavor. The mouthfeel was smooth and light bodied and thin textured.

thedm (6186) - Fort Wayne, Indiana, USA - SEP 21, 2003
5 oz draft sample at the brewery. This brew poured a medium sized head of fine to medium sized mostly lasting white colored bubbles that left behind a transparent urine yellow colored body. The aroma was that of mild raspberry and the mouthfeel was smooth with a slightly tingly feel to it. The flavor contained very little of the raspberry flavor with hints of malt. Kind of on the thin side.
