It poured a dark brown color with a tan head. The aroma was of mild malts with caramel and some biscuit. The taste was sweet, bitter with just a hint of smoke in the backend. This was one of the better beers they have to offer.

Pours a dark amber with almost no head. Faint smoke aroma. Has a pretty nice caramel and licorice flavor as well as notes of smoke and some hop bitterness. Good, but not inspiring.

On a day when the pub’s regular beers seemed to be in bad shape, this one was a nice surprise. Poured a dark amber with a thin, frothy head that lasted a little while. Mild malty nose with some caramel, biscuit. Lightly sweet, mildly bitter flavor with just a touch of campfire smoke in the finish. Even a little warming. Quaffable, yet with nice character.
