tap at Dash In - Pours copper with an aroma of Belgian yeast, banana and malt. The flavor is sweet with spicy yeast, a hint of dark fruit, and alcohol. It’s a good effort. While not outstanding for the style, no one’s expecting a Rochefort quad, it’s quite enjoyable. BBB63 (6557) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - JUN 14, 2014
Tulip at Brewery: Deep coppery hue with almost no signs of carbonation. Heavy banana, clove, plum, dark Candi sugar, bread and touch of Band-Aids. Sadly the feel is a tad thin on the finish for the genre. Okay in general but weak for the style. queenholly (3623) - South Whitley, Indiana, USA - MAY 10, 2014
Draft @ brewery. Sweet caramel malt, Belgian yeast, and banana aroma. Clear deep amber with a small off-white head. Sweet caramel malt, alcohol, and banana flavor. Medium body, soft carbonation. HoppyAlesToYou (167) - Saint John, Indiana, USA - JUN 7, 2013
Slight caramel, cereal, bubble gum, cherry, apple, and vanilla aromas were detected. Looks sticky in the tulip in which it is served, but the head does not remain long. Taste is medium to heavy sweetness with residual traces of umami. Medium to full bodied, sticky but not too thick, softly carbonated, and a long satisfying finish. It is a little thinner than the average quad, but very well attenuated and a pleasure to drink.
