Bottle received in trade. Hazy pale golden pour with a frothy offwhite head. Buoyant nose with salty crackers, lemon, yuzu, star fruit, pineapple, hay, dry soil & light apple cider vinegar. Sour, salty & fruity taste. Light funk & very light vinegar. Dry, tart & tiny puckering mouthfeel. Tasty simple little sour. A lovely base for future fruited exploits?

From notes. Enjoyed at Abu’s house after Fury for the Mayweather – McGregor fight on August 26. 375 mL bottle. The pour is an orangey gold with a thick fluffy white head that falls down slowly to a thin ring with a couple spots of lace hanging around .The aroma is great. There is a bright citrus sourness to it, a strong funkiness, a light vinegar, and some tropical fruits. This is pretty damn good for a spontaneously fermented beer. The flavor is much of the same. The funky barnyard up front does a nice job, but the fruitiness and the sourness on this one really balance it together and make it what it is. There is a decent amount of herbal character on the back end, but I dig it. The mouth feel is refreshing and crisp with a bright carbonation and a lingeringly sour and funky citrus aftertaste. This is damn good. 8 4 8 4 16

Pour out of 375 mL bottle, thanks Beau! Slightly hazy orange-golden pour with fluffy white head, aroma brought notes of lemon, oak, soft grains, touch of overripe fruit, hints of tart fruit, slight vinegar. Taste was a mix of tart lemon, oak, bread, biscuit, nice earthy, funky note with a hint of overripe fruits, slight vinegar/acetic note, finishing slightly tart.

Bottle thanks to Adam! Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates quickly to the edges. Aroma has strong a strong sourness with some vinegar, oak, grains and funk supporting. Flavor is also quite sour with a slight lemon bite and nots of oak, funk and grains underlying.

Bottle thanks to thealume! Pours a hazy gold color with a large white head. Wild, bucolic nose. Cheese rind and spring meadow. Gentle white grape and dry herb. Also suggests vinegary funk. However, the flavor’s pretty subtle. Some mellow lactic funk, Brett. Tart, juicy white grape and lemons. A bit of vinegar. light and chalky body. Mild oak. Pillowy carb. Very nice.

Draft pour on tap at the Bridgman Taproom (Bridgman, MI). Pours a hazy straw lemony hue, a nice glow but hazy body. Creamy whitish head is full but dies down to a thicker ringer with nice lacing. Aromas are sour, funky, lactic and oaky. Bright lemony and citric acidity meet yogurt, lime, vanilla and dusty funk. Cobwebs, cheesecloth, straw and bready malts work in. A bright punchy sourness and citric life which really sticks with me. Initial is a bit fuzzy, sour and dry. Lemon, lime, a bit of prickly acidity and carbonic appeal. Citrusy sorbet, stone fruit, a gentle ester but largely a cleaner, dry, sour affair. Mellow funk, prickly fuzzy and acidic hand. More lime, Cobwebs, nothing harsh as this one flows a touch of acidity down the throat but remains fairly clean overall. A funk profile that doesn’t take the reigns but compliments well. Sour, refreshing, pretty crushable. But a younger complexity overall that should improve with some age. Pretty pour, really fun nose, great flavors, sufficient flow. Really nice first spontaneous from the Mich location.

Draft. Golden pour. This is a clean but complex sour beer. Oak notes, lemon, herbs, funk, heavy sourness but not vinegary. Nice stuff.
