COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Amber rye ale. Sour mashed for tartness. Saison yeast pairs with the spiciness of the rye malt and Pacific Jade hops for a notable dry, grainy finish.

750 ml bottle from Sparrow. Murky reddish-orange. Thick, frothy, lasting, beige head. Soured yeast and rye spice. Flavor is fairly sour. Smooth, with a clean feel. Not quite as good as some of their best Saisons, but still a nice one.

750ml bottle on 7/29/14. Pours opaque light pukey brown, very thin head. Aroma of earthy yeast, pepper, rye, citrus, funk. Flavor is fairly light & funky, spicy rye & saison yeast meets funky brett melon... great. Lightish body, dry and refreshing... this one did great after an extra month bottle fermenting.

BLADT (701) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - JUL 19, 2014
From 750ml bottle from Gnomungus. Swampy, dirty water appearance. Almost no head. Luckily looks mean nothing here. Yeast and yeast on nose. Rye, honey and herbal pepperiness play too. Light to medium body. Fairly standard saison tastes undergird notes of earthy spice and melon. Nice, dry finish.

Bottle, 07/11/2014. Pours hazy orange, airy fluffy white head with great retention, solid lacing builds up around the edge of the glass. Aroma is lightly honeyed yeast, rye bread, melon, cantaloupe, citrus and earthy herbal hops, peppercorn in the finish. Taste is rye, spicy yeast, herbal bitterness and some citrus, residual sweetness before a dry finish. Medium body, highly carbonated, sharp on the palate. Nice.
