I had it on tap. It pours reddish and amber with an off-white head. The aroma is caramel and bread. The taste is caramel, bread, and grass. It’s sweet and malty. It’s still very drinkable. There’s a nice smoothness to it.

I liked this red lager. First beer I actually tasted that day. Not the first I drank. Definitely malty and hoppy. Smooth. A solid brew.

Bold ruby red with minimal tan head. A very good red lager but no flavor note rises to the top. Malt meets a toasty flavor and a balanced carbonation and slightly bitter finish.

scraff (2125) - Baltimore, Maryland, USA - JUL 28, 2007
Light amber, thin white creamy head. Soft nose of spicy florals that fade into nutty fruity tones. Dry spicy floral hops balance on notes of candied malt nuttiness. Light bodied, medium carbonation, dry, lightly bittersweet finish. Easy drinking brew that could go with anything on the menu…

Malty, a little more hops would balance this brew out. Very red in color, leaves some lacing. A good clean beer.

On tap at Trap Rock. Pours a dusty ruby brown with a medium white head. Malty and nutty, light hop aromas. Toast, malt. Very crisp but a bit thin. Sweet with a touch of toasty bitterness on the finish.

Tap at Andy’s 3/9/05
This was on the handpump
So its a Marzen? Should have known. Had that slight malt flavor with not a lot of hops. Pretty good overall but overshadowed by the other beers I had that night
