Copper coloured. Grassy hop aroma. Malty and rather sweet. Low bitterness. More conventional than most their other brews.
Cask at Scottish Real Ale festival 2009 ... Copper ... sweet fruity malt nose ... juicy and fruity ... watter hop ... little bitter not for me. Oakes (17662) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - AUG 23, 2002
Dark amber; complex, layered maltiness, like rye bread crusts. Scopey (14699) - Croydon, Greater London, ENGLAND - AUG 16, 2014
Cask at Cloisters. It pours clear deep amber-brown with a medium yellow-white head. The nose is toasted brown, grainy, mild caramel, earth and wood. The taste is smooth, toasted grain, brown, wood and leather with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Simple malt-driven job. OK, but probably their poorest offering.

Cask at The Scottish Real Ale Festival 2014. Pours clear amber, thin off-white head. Aromas of caramel and apples, light sugar. Taste is sweet. Finishes clean enough. Bit boring to be honest. leaparsons (10541) - Wigston, Leicestershire, ENGLAND - AUG 12, 2003
Ah, the might Traquair house. Shame this is a let down. Aromas are light grain and some spice. The flavour is the trouble - thin malts, watery with a chalky, not bitter, finish. Give me the House Ale! DJMonarch (9179) - Northwich, Cheshire, ENGLAND - MAR 2, 2006
